ediawe 1/21/10 . chapter 1I really liked this. I wish my english was better so that I can say exactely what I thought of it ; at least, I'm going to try. The character of Cicero is one of my favorite in the serie, probably because he is familiar (I often had to work on his texts during my latin's class). I like the way you describe, like a philosopher or at least like a man tired of politic, at least just for a moment. And I find interesting the way you describe him in the nature, as Romans were always complaining about life in the city. One more time, it was very nice. |
Morgan5318 10/12/09 . chapter 1An amazing piece of fiction. Cicero has long been a favorite of mine; his quotations are so pithy, and filled with the honesty born of a true statesman. With all his faults, and his mistakes, this short piece brings out the real man, the one who appreciated the world in which he lived. Yours is a unique view of life in Rome during those turbulent times. It's very well done, and an enjoyable read. Such insight! Amazing. |
