I've been waiting for someone to write Cas's POV of the aftermath. I love the image you've created of him lonely walking down the dusty road. I also love the mood of the piece with Castiel badly damaged but determined to keep going. Wonderful writing. I'd love to read more if you felt like continuing on or writing a sequel.
