I love this one-shot. It filled in nicely a gap in the movie. We just see Kirk bloody and beaten pondering a salt shaker while looking like he's on the brink of passing out to riding his motorcycle to the shipyards. Although it wasn't critical (not like, say, the huge-a*s, glaring time-gap between Pike's rescue and the ship's arrival at Starfleet), it was nice to see Jim's psyche as well as how the fight affected him physically. I think your one-shots are particularly strong and I had added this to favorites a bit ago, but hadn't had the chance to review. Kudos on keeping Kirk solidly in character with Pine's (although not necessarily Shatner's) portrayal. =)

I really envy your ability to depict such realistic senarios and wonderful detail without ever making the reader lose intererst. Your wirting is just beautiful and your sense of humor is great, even in serious fics like this. It's always a pleasure to read your works.

I finally foudn time to read this. I was expecting some dialogue. But oh well. It was a great story. I think I'm starting to like the new Ginger Ninja. Well starting to at least. I wonder I'll be able to change to be a new GenerationX7. A snowball's chance in Hell right?

Maybe you should do a story when this Enterprise crew runs into the Borg. Hey it's a alternate reality anyway. So you can do anything in this fandom. Like the crew of the Enterprise-A meeting the Enterprise-D's arch nemesis.
