I love this story. The plot is great and interesting. The spelling and grammar are fine. I hope the next chapter comes out soon.

This is in reply to "The Breeze"'s review of chapter 1 of this story. "The Breeze" raised a point about being a Six on board the Dreadnought finding it rather odd this should be so.

= Warning: the following post is extremely long AND nitpicking in nature - boredom alert: do not read if you are bored easily or do not wear suspenders and a belt at the same time all the time. =

Actually, I do not find it odd at all. Decommissioned or not, Dreadnought is a capital ship. Keeping tabs on all capital ships (and on one of the - I assume - major salvage operators as a fringe benefit) by installing covert agents on each and everyone of them is basically due diligence on part of the Cylon High Command. As we all know from BSG 2003 canon there are many copies of each model so creating them must be quite cheap (an assumption on my part I admit).

OTOH, the more agents you place the higher risk you run for detection especially if you have only eight models to work with. So let me assume again that you only want capital ships, major fleet installations and fleet infrastructure sites/services.

Now let us look at the effort in terms of Agent numbers for the Cylon High Command: "At the time of the Cylon holocaust, the Colonial Fleet includes approximately 120 battlestars[4], thousands of smaller vessels[5], numerous squadrons of Vipers and Raptors assigned to each, and various support ships [6]. The Colonial Fleet also included modified Space Park vessels (although the single Space Park liner in Galactica's civilian Fleet is very likely a civilian liner) [7]." [quoted from http://en./wiki/Colonial_Fleet_(RDM)]

So now: 120 active duty stars and again that number of moth-balled capital ships, active duty warstars and decommissioned capital ships. That's about 240 agents so far. Now again the same number for major fleet installations and services (like IT and personnel). 500 so far and approx. half that number again to serve as field agent handlers/controllers/couriers. Let's say 800 humaniform cylons so far - that is not such a high number ... when you remember the footage from the resurrection hubs/ships (those were VAST structures able of containing thousands of humaniform cylons each).

If we stick with 800 agents to be deployed then this would come out to 100 copies of each of the original eight models. Risky - but not terribly so depending on long you run your deep infiltration - two or three years seem doable whereas two or three decades will almost certainly lead to detection. There is a lot of things one can do with disguises (hair color, glasses and such) and then everybody looks much the same anyway since everybody wears uniforms :) You also have structural advantages: a fleet (like any military organization) is pretty much compartmentalized - you mostly see only people of your own unit/department. Of course it would be extremely helpful if you had agents in the central fleet personnel branch.

Summa summarum: in the short term it is not terribly risky nor does not require a large effort to place covert humaniform Cylon on each Colonial capital vessel.

In one sentemce: That is a rattling good read.

I am reviewing what is available at this time: chp. 1-4.

The plot is believable. Only one "lucky coincidence" there (so far): the blind jump ending up in the vicinity of Cain's civilian leftovers. Everything else is believable. Keep going like that.

Characters could have some more depth - at this point they are slightly shallow - but then it is early days yet. I suppose that the characters will gain more depth as the story develops.

Dialogues are spot-on and a joy to read.

This looks as it will be a long story - good. I like long stories. Short stories are like a coitus interruptus.

All in all I like it very much and can't wait for chapter 5.

This is a great story so far. I would have waited a bit before having them run into the remains of the people Cain roughed up (just to keep things more in line with cannon). Looking forward to your next update.

I knew she was gonna die... Now to see who else might be a cylon, though it's unlikely many more with such a small group.
