I think Kirk and McCoy may just need their friendship to function properly in public. Kirk keeps McCoy focused on helping him when he gets in a scrape and off of his negative thoughts, while McCoy is able to keep Kirk on to important matters at hand and off of things that could get them in too serious of trouble. This story shows their dynamic perfectly.

I remember pulling a few all-nighter's when I was a freshman in college. This phrase: Washing down the toothpaste with yet another coffee brings to mind that sharp flavor of weariness you get in the back of your mouth once you're done with your test/class for the day.

Don't ever mix toothpaste with Red Bull. It's nearly as awful as toothpaste and OJ...

As a kinetic learner (I have to do things on my own to figure them out and meaningless paragraphs of explanation don't help at all) I can understand the frustrations of memorization. I was never good at math because I couldn't "paint and memorize a picture" in my head the way I could with science, geography, literature, and language.

God, I'm so glad I'm finished with college...

This is the second Star Trek story I've read from you. How many of these are you going to post? There are other movies out now that I think you'll enjoy just as much. Like Angels and Demons. You will like that movie. To me it's kind of obsessive if you post nothing but one shots in one fandom; without working on stories in another fandom. Take a break from Star Trek, Ginger. There is a Tomb Raider story that needs a update.

Oh and this story was pretty good. I'm trying to warm up to your Star Trek stories. Can you write on that's funny? Please? I need some humor in my life right now, and I'm not waiting till Thursday.
