I absolutely adore The Little Mermaid, and I've been reading through these fanfiction pieces in search of something that captures the true essence of the movies and story.
Until I reached your story, I hadn't found any that were written well enough to do the classic justice.
Not only is your structure great and your actual story-telling well developed, the emotion is conveyed really well and you do a fantastic job at capturing Ariel's emotion.

Wow! This is really beautiful. I'm blown away at how much depth you've managed to pull out of even such a story... but inspiration comes in the strangest of places. And this truly is inspired.

It's a very reflective piece. There's so much longing about it... and you capture the physicals walls that hold her and the emotional ties that are just as strong.

In short, I'm very impressed. You've drawn amazing depth out of something apparently very shallow. Skillz, girl. You're really, really good at this.

I'm almost speechless, that was beyond words. You captured Ariel in every way. It almost doesn't seem possible, that you could write this, being only your second story on Fanfiction.

Just WOW, it doesn't have words to describe it and the spelling and grammar were well done. It really is just amazing and the last line took my breath away, you couldn't have described her feelings any clearer. Just amazing and awesome. The descriptions of the party, Melody, and the gray walls were just perfect, not to much, but still you felt their presence.

Absolutely stunning. I opened the link you'd posted a while ago just out of curiousity, because you'd mentioned it on your blog, but found myself so drawn into the beautiful storytelling and enthralling pictures of pure bliss that I couldn't stop till I'd read the whole thing. *grins* It's a surprisingly polished piece of work for something as...ahem. I'm sure you can guess my opinion on LM2. I'm amazed you were able to find room to come up with depth to something so passing and trivial. Not trivial to the plotline of the movie, but considering the whole movie is trivial, you see what I mean.
