Nagia, you amazing person, your writing's either awesome incarnate or a world-class effort at simulating it. It's as if you don't need to pick and choose your words because they just come to you, perfectly appropriate for the situation and so heart-breakingly apt. Or maybe you spend a year on your pieces or something. If so, let me tell you that it's well worth the effort.

But, whether it is an effort or not, your pieces always manage to pull my heart from between my ribs, bash it with a mallet a few times and then stuff it back in. The femslash here was so delicately put and so wonderfully executed that it makes me smile and want to cry at the same time.

My favourite chapter is still the fourth. I think that really made the biggest impact. That Yuffie is being tortured but she can still cling to Tifa. And the last one was pretty darn good too, with Cloud's "WHY WHY DID YOU FORSAKE ME?" and then Tifa's silent "because you forsook me first."

It was reallyreally brilliant and perfect and a great read. Thank you so much for writing this.

You've done it again, Nagia. I would kill to be able to do what you do with such a short amount of words.

The vignettes are curt, and because of that I think they have a more profound impact once everything is said and done. I particularly like how the relationship between Yuffie and Tifa is something that was spawn from friendship, from comfort. It seemed better, more natural and easy, that way.

I'll be keeping an eye out for this.

Beautiful. The best thing about this, I think, is the power of the things left unsaid. You don't dance around things, you just give parts of the truth. I love the vignette-esque format and the pieces of descriptions which are that much more powerful in their understatement. Brilliant, really. Thank you for sharing this.

There we go, that's what I was looking for. These are great, the way that so much is said in such a small amount of text. Grand, to be sure.
