FullMentalPanic 1/17/12 . chapter 1What I really liked about this is that Robin doesn't just do an abrupt about face into assertiveness. She at first tries to sneak away and it takes awhile for her to be bold. I always thought the mother/daughter relationships in Lantern Hill were both interesting and kind of baffling. Mrs. Kennedy (ostensibly) loves her daughter yet has no compassion for the love Robin has for her daughter. Really liked that bit about the conflict of passivity in Robin Kennedy and the boldness and steadfastness she achieved (or wanted to achieve) as Mrs. Stuart. As per usual, wonderful capture of the original style. |
