Wow. I beta'd this before my old computer crashed. That was . . . a long time ago. *feels guilty*

This is going to be a short review, I'm afraid. I've been putting off reading until I had time to submit a longer one, but it's just not happening, things are too busy here. But it seems like things are pretty hectic with you as well atm, so hopefully that's okay.

Well, first things first - this version is much clearer than the draft I saw. I thought that one was pretty much ready for publishing, but this is actually a lot better, I can really see the improvements. It's more obvious what's going on - Bella isn't actually enjoying the Cruciatus, it's more like a scientific interest, and a sort of excitement at the thought of one day having that kind of power at her disposal. That whole confusion I had over why she was capable of enjoying pain when her master caused it but not when Rodolphus did so, and where the sudden masochistic streak came from, is gone now.

Haha. I have to admit I laughed when Bella seriously considered, just for a minute, recruiting her eleven year old cousin. It's my personal opinion that a Bella story isn't complete without the occasional flash of latent insanity. ;)

The interaction she has with Voldemort at this point is quite interesting too, it's very much teacher-pupil even before he formally agrees to train her, so it should make for some fun scenes. I think it's completely appropriate that she's being judged for both sides of her family, it only makes sense if she's the first Black to be recruited and she's already married into the Lestranges. Her reluctance to share is understandable too, given the type of relationship she has with Rodolphus. I wonder if all the over-excitement and interruptions are just an attempt to take attention away from everything she's NOT saying? It certainly didn't work if it was . . .. . Now I suppose the questions is how much Voldemort cares for Bella's secrets. Would he try and get them out of her just for the sake of knowing everything, or would he just not care? You'd get an intruiging reaction out of Bella either way I think.

Speaking of intruiging reactions . . . . I can't WAIT to see what she and Rodolphus have to say to each other after this meeting! Each of them has cause to be very pissed off at the other, after all. Please tell me Bella won't be the meek wife again and take this lying down, because even if she loses at this point I would LOVE to see a confrontation.

You might be surprised by the length of the reviews. I taught myself writing very long ones when I reviewed her fics^^ so you didn't get much long-long reviews from me but I'll try to keep it long for you too. Your fics are a hundred times worth it...

A not so crazy Bellatrix, lurvely :D I love this whole relationship she and Voldemort have- he seems to be indulging her whole little obsession without realising it, and if he does, I wonder whether it's on purpose or not. Either way, we shall have to see how it all pans out :D

OMG, i was reviewing this a while ago but then my internet lost connection, and i was too sad to retype everything. So, i will now try to rewrite my brilliance. How else do you pronounce Crucio? I have the worst pronounciation of things, so you probably shouldn't ask me. -head meets desk- No, Bella, refrain from squealing like a schoolgirl! Sometimes, i forget how young your Bella is (though, technically, even my third year Bella, i have trouble imagining her doing the fangirl squeal thing). "forevermore" - I adore that word. It makes me think of this song by Lesley Roy (she has this sort of gravelly, cool voice) called "Unbeautiful" . . . "it was you and me against the world and you promised me forevermore" . . . it's nice.

-head meets desk again- At this rate i will seriously lose brain cells. Did you know banging your head against the wall makes you burn 150 calories an hour? “Do you often forget your own name, Bellatrix?” -wince- Not a good way to prove yourself. Stupid Rod! Is it even possible, to use Legilimency when someone is sleeping? I've never dealt with it in my fics before, so i was just wondering. Merlin, your Rod is such a bastard. You don't have to say it, just prove it. That's so . . . dirty low. Ugh. And hence begins Bella's fascination with the Cruciatus. Speaking of which, you know "All I Ever Wanted"?
