Really beautifully, and hauntingly written. I think you captured a lot in a relatively few words here, and with really just one image, that of Flack's eyes, which are such a distinct blue, turning to gray. As if all the life and colour have drained out of him.

This was a beautifully written piece, it really tugged on my heart strings. You really seemed to capture the pain of Don. Great story!

You captured the feelings Don had, heck we all had when Jess died. And just the thought of him not knowing what to do now, was perfect. Your use of the color gray to describe his emotions, eyes, and hair was wonderful and heartbreaking.

Heartbreakingly, painfully perfect. Great descriptiv writing, I love how you wove the grey theme into everything, it really worked well. Poor Flack.
