Hello again - I'm also enjoying your Black Stallion fiction very much. Even though I grew up horse-obscessed, I never got around to reading this particular series. I did, however, love the original movie. I enjoyed this piece because I think it's a very thorough look at what Alec thinks of himself and therefore provides great insight to thos character's priorities and work ethic. Thanks for reintroducing me to Alec and The Black and for teaching me that the boy actually has chestnut rather than black hair.
