Beautiful story. It was a delight reading this, especially since making game mechanics believable takes quite a bit of ingenuity.

I loved this fic. You kept everyone in character, and made such a bittersweet tale. It was elegant in its construction, as I suppose any fic dealing with Tyrael and angels should be. ;)

I have to agree with you, though, that this doesn't have the feel of a "road not taken" story. I still think it's wonderful, but that feeling just isn't there. There's far too little backstory about their interactions to impart a feeling of a lost opportunity.

As it stands, though, I like this one as-is. Great job.

Dear, words cannot say how much I love it. I'm sorry that it gave you such a hard time, but I couldn't detect any sign of it while reading - the story flows fluently, and I just love the bittersweet ending.

The story was very sweet and touching, but with your good characterization of Tyrael you always kept it from getting too sweet and unbelievable. There are some minor spelling errors, but nothing to keep me from enjoying the read.
