this is really good, i like the conversation between tony and ziva about the die hard class

thank you for messaging me the link for this story; it's brilliant! exceptionally well written, with an interesting plot (i particularly like the way that you didn't try and come up with an explanation for it, but said what it isn't, leaving the characters frustrated) thank you for not going down the werewolf route; truely, i wouldn't have minded, but i was expecting it, and it's nice to be wrong :) i like suprises (of course, it still might be- did Ducky do a blood work-up/DNA analysis?)

lovely characterisation, also, and your OC's were very good; whoa! not many authors like to kill OC's as good as Walling. congrats on having the balls to do so :) adds a certain realism- yes, the good guys can die. their interactions were very good, you gave them feeling and depth without going overboard. same with the little hints of potential-Tiva; there, but not in your face. i like. Ziva afraid of Poltergeist? bless her, she IS human! lol, that film is creepy

all round, a thoroughly enjoyable story. it's a perfect standalone, but are you going to continue? or refer to it in future, unrelated stories? it would be interesting to see what Ziva and Tony's research manages to dig up.

Nice ending, I really liked it. Liked the entire story, actually. And now I'm all caught up!

With the beginning warning, I made note to put away my chocolate for this chapter, and good thing, too. That was one really intense fight...At least the beast is dead now, though it's a shame about Colonel Walling. I liked him. I also really liked Ziva comparing his leadership to Gibbs'.

Now to read the final chapter. Almost caught up!

Yet another good chapter, though a little short. Yeah, Chambers isn't the brightest person around, is he? At least they know where the crate is now.

I cracked up over Ziva thinking about "The Exorcist" and admitting, to herself anyway, that the movie scared her. Never seen it myself, though.

One little typo I caught: -“Dexter? Why would you folks want to see him?- you're missing the closing quotation.

Another good chapter and I still really love how you do Abby. Well, you seem to write all the characters really well. And I wonder where Chambers has disappeared to...I guess I'll find out soon, only four more chapters to read now.

Finally done with work so I can catch up on stories...Anyway, this was a really great chapter. I loved the 'Jurassic Park' reference.

The end with the creature attacking was really tense, I'm glad Tony and Ziva are okay. And now on to the next chapter.

Thanks for the shout-out. About those vampire gorillas! Good story. I really enjoyed it, despite the fact that I've never seen NCIS. Actually, the only series I watch regularly (or semi-regularly) are Chuck, My Name Is Earl (which NBC is canceling, despite the fact that it is the sickest, funniest, show on T.V. My brother ran a pool hall at one point when I was in high school, and there were characters like Earl & his cohorts there.), 30 Rock, reruns of House, and The Tudors. Other than those, I usually stick to the History Channels, Biography, Discovery, & the movie channels. Except, of course, when the football season starts & there's a Saints game on, or a figure skating exhibition or competition.

Anyway, you did an excellent job with this. You need to start publishing independent short stories. You're quite good at it.

What a great ending to the story - hinting at so much, as television shows are wont to do. They deliberately leave dangling threads for scriptwriters to pick up on later. The possibility of other dangerous "animals" like this one lurking just over the horizon is awesome.

And of course Abby would be disappointed the thing wasn't an alien. Violar is just relieved she doesn't have to fight it.

And the epilogue chatter between Ziva and Tony was... cute. And very promising! Tony is a dangerous guy to work closely with though. *shakes head and chuckles*

Holy mackerel. That was an adrenaline ride.

Just reading it was enough to make you short of breath... and what an emotional ending. Intense... and beautifully written, if such an adjective as "beautiful" isn't terribly out of place here.

I loved the incredible firepower all those Marines littered the beach with, and I'm glad they had the sense to upgrade their bullets to something more impressive - especially before infiltrating the cave to look for our Cryptid. It was so dangerous... I'm glad they killed it.

Poor Chambers! *laughs* I know, I know... he was an idiot... but he already felt bad enough, and then he had to get chewed out - not that he didn't deserve it, but still, poor guy. I think I'd make a terrible Marine, with sentiments like that!

Also, very nice detailing on the cave floor being uneven and un-Hollywood set. Sweet.

And the fear was so palpable you could feel it.

Very nice... Now off to read the conclusion.
