Thats the difference between James and Snape. Lily have always been James first love while Snape wanted power. he want to control lily.

This had so much potential but, in the end, what was the point?

Snivellus is crushed and so never turns against Voldemort?

Neither Lily or Snivellus resort to force? The encounter seems particularly ill thought-out by Lily. She couldn't have expected anything different - especially the way she played it. What was the backup plan?

Really, it's quite sad that Snape never got his love returned...ever. This was very well written and, to protect her husband and child, I believe that Lily could have talked to Severus.I also like the sedden realizaion that sverus had that Lily was NEVER going to love him like that.

Ah.. the terrible feel of unrequited love really hurts, espicially when you can't get over it. I also like the belivible conversation they had, didn't know alot about Lily but it seems she was a fire-chracker.:P

All in all, very nice job. keep on writing!
