aha, I can totally see the two of them having a whole conversation 'getting to know one another' for the benefit of her clueless friend and their own sick amusement. They will make up fibs about his middle name being 'Esteban' and him owning several pet iguanas and having a penchant for calligraphy, and Casey will admit to being a rather avid fan of roller derby, whereupon Derek will reveal that he knows this really hot girl who has a similar interest. The evening will devolve from there.
