Whew, knew I was missing something good by fading out of this fandom for a while. A good and cocky Nero who doesn't go down easy (and a dirty old man Dante) are some of my favorite things.

One thing you might want to watch out for is the issue of right spelling, wrong word. Spellcheck will note that a homonym is spelled correctly, but it will never catch that you actually meant rain instead of reign. The only way is to read it very carefully yourself or have a friend look the story over.

Even before the threat (which doesn't apply, since you've got 51 reviews, right?) I was going to review, I promise! I read the first two chapters last night, but knowing I only had a few chapters left, I didn't want to accidentally stumble on a spoiler so I saved the rest for tonight! And I'm so glad I did! Just so I could have this as my first fic to read at the completion of the game!

Anyway, enough about me and my randomness. I always review before I subscribe, I feel it's like, common decency, you know. Anyway, for real, enough about me.

Like, WHOA! I think in the history of all pairings of all fandoms, this one has quickly become my favorite, even before I played four (and just read about Nero without knowing about him), and before that, the only guy you could pair Dante with was Vergil. And I think the history of all DantexNero fics, this is one of my favorites. You captured the characters so well. And I agree about Nero submitting, a lot of the fics just have him do it no questions asked, but I don't think he would just give in like that.

Dante's kind of a dick in this story, but... that's Dante! he is kind of a dick.
