this was a good fic, it could've been better had you gone into more detail or depth behind the flashback. And if you would've used your spell-checker or read back over it for typo errors, like when you said "except" instead of "accept". Don't worry about it though, we all make mistakes in our fics here and there, just remember that next time. Otherwise though, pretty good SanoxSayo story.

yo! yay! finally! a sanoXsayo fic! as a die-hard fan of the pairing, Sano&Sayo, i'm very glad ot have read your fic! it was great! though, i think the "teddy bear" thingy was a bit off coz in the RK storyline (which was in the late 1800s)teddy bears weren't invented yet. Sweet. Very cute. The formatting was a bit odd in places, but otherwise it was very well written.

I don't mind Sayo, I don't even mind Sano/Sayo (I think it's cute, and I much prefer Aoshi/Megumi to Sano/Megumi anyway...), it's the fact that the whole Christian arc even exists that bothers me. And I suspect that may be why a lot of people don't like her. The original Rurouni Kenshin manga did not include this arc in it's storyline... The Christian arc was created basically as a filler for the anime, while the animators were waiting for Nobuhiro Watsuki (the original RK creator) to complete the REAL ending to Rurouni Kenshin. Unfortunately, because of the horrible quality of many of the filler episodes, the rating of the show dropped, so Sony (or whatever company was showing it) decided to end the series before they were able to animate Watsuki's ending. Most people found the Christian arc really lame in comparison to the actual ending (the Jinchuu arc in the manga), and so do not consider it canon. In my opinion, the arc itself was not *that* bad... but it had the potential to be a LOT better. And yes, Jinchuu is definitely my preferred ending to RK. When I write my fics, I personally never take the Christian arc into consideration. Most people go by the manga storyline only as well. So that's why Sano/Sayo isn't that popular.

And that was very well-written too! There's something a bit wrong with the formatting, but other than that I loved this fic! Totally! A really awesome twist to their already awesome story! Though as usual, too bad she had to die. *sobs

Wow... I admit begrudgingly, I can't stand Sayo, but I was determined not to let that get in the way of reading this fic. Since you said you need some constructive criticism, I'll give you some *smiles* All in all, it was actually very well written! Kudos to you for keeping this diehard SxM fan occupied But there are a couple of nitpicks...
On dialogue, you don't end what they are saying with a period and then put a comma on the outside of the quotation marks."And I don't play with dolls like girls do.",) is not right. To make it better, you can either make it it's own line and get rid of the comma or break it up like this(And I don't play with dolls like girls do," he stated firmly. "I'm a boy, ya' know!
The biggest thing is... teddy bears were "invented" during the presidency of Thedore Roosevelt, I believe it's 1901-1909. Obviously, the RK timeline goes before this, so having them call it a "Teddy" bear is not right with history. They may have had STUFFED bears, but they wouldn't have called them Teddy Bears.
