Wow...I just wrote a Itachi/Mikoto story, was in the mood to read some others, and found yours. I'm absolutely in love with it. Those last few lines are the best. I'm actually kind of speechless I enjoyed it so much.

So let's just go over other things. XD.

Honestly, I love the first and last parts the most. All the Mikoto PoV parts were wonderful... and the foreshadowing (was that right?) of the end. Really, "four seconds", "your brother's life and the weapon that will take mine", that was all pretty sad.

Makes you wonder how simple things can seem. Hmm.

However, there's just one part I don't understand. I don't get the significance of "Careful, watch Sasuke's head," and the entire scene. I mean, the way your wrote it, it's great, but something tells me it just doesn't fit in as well as all the others did.

Perhaps I sound nit-picky, but I'm just the type of writer/reader who prefers putting bare essentials... nothing extra. Haha. Hope you understand.

Anyway, I'm really happy to have come across this story. There's not much ItaMiko love out there! :P. Thank you for the great read!
