Wow! Amazing story! Though some of the thoughts are hard to follow, especially those involving the zanpakutous, but I suppose that's part of their point of view and seeing that they are sentient energy, that's to be expected. I really like this crossover. Please tell me there will be a sequel, especially when you ended this story on a cliffhanger!

Sequel, sequel, please. This is going on my ebook reader with the rest of your stories, and already looks to be joining the *Blades of Blood* series as a frequent reread. Your *Spin Cycle* series used to be the most frequent reread followed by the *Foreign Exchange* series, and *Upon a Fiery Steed* as the mood strikes, but *Blades of Blood* replaced them in preference six or seven months back as my favorite read in the wakeful spots in the middle of the night when I'm reading in bed. "Lone Flower" and it's siblings will be reread more frequently just as soon as I have a chance to meld the three stories together into one file I don't have to chase through the ebook directory like the three individual files that are already there. The Airwolf stories would get read more often, too, but they are also scattered as individual files and not a cohesive chronological master file with table of contents so I can find the individual stories easily. Good job mixing the two fandoms. Unusual and certainly suprising but very good. I particuarly liked the spin you put on the reincarnation theory. Shame you had to stop where you did though, it would've been interesting to see what the SG lot made of the shinigamis. I can see Unohana and Fraiser getting on almost disturbingly well.

I... REALLY hope you plan to do a sequel to this.

Oh, wow. This was great. I will say that on my first read I was very confused, especially in the beginning, but I came back to it just today and on a second read it makes a lot more sense (before I knew what was going on I was thinking that Urahara was the lone wanderer that the spirits were talking about, but then on the second read picked up the hints that it was Yamamoto). Very happy with your portrayal of the Ascended. Also happy that SG1 made an appearance there at the end, though the cliff hanger caused me *pain*. It going to be interesting to see how SG1 reacts to all of this, depending on what season this is set in. Looking at the fact that Daniel seem to have been Touched it's probably after Kheb, though Teal'c is still carrying his staff weapon, and looking at what seasons you've set your Stargate stories in before it's probably four-ish, meaning he hasn't actually been ascended yet and the SGC has yet to really learn a lot about the Ancients, meaning that a lot of what Seireitei is will go over their heads (makes me sad). Though maybe it's after Jack gets his head sucked by the Ancient database. Also, possible solution to Daniel being Touched is to bond . . . after it's explained to him. Will SG1 meet Ichigo's people?
Anyway, loved this and yearning strongly for a sequel. Thanks!

Nice. I've recently gotten into Bleach so most of the characters are unknown to me. Very interesting idea for how the Shinigami came about. I hope to see this verse expanded upon.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with a rabid abhorrence of the Ascended. They are, with little or no exception, sanctimonious, self-righteous, supremacist bastards. I do very much like how you used the companions, here. It's incredibly clever, how you worked out them and the process/effect of the melding.

You know, whenever the energy beings refer to the Ascended as being "silly", I start getting major flashbacks to Star Control 2. The Ascended are not *happy campers* at all! They do not like *parties*, and they *frumple* everyone they meet. Those *sad animals*!

I think it's pretty much impossible for me to think of the energy-beings as anything other than the Orz now that I've made that connection... which is probably more sinister than you intended, but then again. I tend to think that the Orz (is/are) the niftiest being(s) ever, which is probably not as sinister as the makers of Star Control 2 intended. A little bit from column A, a little bit from column B...

Ok, *glomp* I love it and sad that it is complete. You can't leave us hanging. How will the rest of the series go? Is this before or after Danny asended(sp?)? You can leave us hanging like that.
