What a sad scene...I just can't imaging losing a mother like that..or well dying like that as a mother. I love Carlisle so much though...how much he cares for everyone. He's just a great character. Great job with this!

who was the stressed man? and did he leave? did he hear edward's mother and her final wish? did e's mom know that he would do so, even though he was scared?

also, why did edward lock his lips? that's so cool, how he had such self-control, even then...

why did he regret his constant selflessness? that's a great connection to the current story!
