Loved this one, too. I would love to read more Snape/ Sinistra if you ever feel like writing about their other encounters. :-)
Not fluffy at all, I think you show really well the angst and ordeal of Severus' life.

A nice interlude. Of course, Snape will do whatever it takes to finish the job regardless of the cost to him. And Aurora was sweet--but she'll probably hate him once he's Headmaster, too.

Meanwhile, some daft firstie has sneaked out of his dormitory and is probably drowning in the lake...

If Dumbledore wanted his spy to be human, he shouldn't dump so much on him. Snape he should learn how to be Cheerful even on two hours' sleep a night trying to keep Potter from killing himself. Good vignette.

I loved how Dumbledore apparently likes fashion. It's not a characteristic I would have thought to pin on him. I was reminded momentarily of William Sledd (from Youtube's Ask a Gay Man) and that roused memories of humorous forum threads that mentioned Dumbledore's homosexuality. It's a bit degrading to the character to compare him to someone like Sledd, but it was still amusing and I loved it.

I think that your portrayal of Snape was, while believable, somewhat off for me. I can't exactly put my finger on it, but it may have been the presence of a sex-drive. It's hard to imagine him dealing with stress like that, I guess.

I'm torn between loving and hating Sinistra. I won't go into that though, because it's not important and it's more personal than anything.

All in all, I liked it as I like all of your stories that I've read so far.

It always breaks my heart a bit to see how tragic Severus' circumstances are. But I don't like reading it any other way. So, good job.
And I do like the Aurora/Severus combination for a change too. Really enjoyed "Why Not?", though I was hoping this storyline would remain a bit ligher.

Thoroughly enjoyable even with the angst at the end, and I am not an angst lover. I love that he has someone there who cares about him and what has happened to him and what will happen to him, he deserves that.

I haven't been able to forgive Lily for not accepting his apology, so I don't read SS/LE stories and I'm not a Hermione fan so I avoid SS/HG at all costs. I really like your Sinistra and your OC's, I hope you write more of them. Are you planning to write anymore of 'Salvation? I really got into that story and I want more of it. Also have you ever considered Snape/Tonks or Snape/Luna? They may sound like odd pairings to you but once you get into them they just seem like natural matches, especially Snape/Luna because they are so opposite that they complement each other.

Very well done. I love your Sinestra/Snape stories (one other, right?), and they feel as though they fit into your Snape/Lily universe. But this has particular dark depth.

Wow. Great stuff. Fluff it ain't, though. Quite a gloom over things at the end there.

"His eyes gleamed with something she dark" --there are some other errors, as you pointed out, but this one is confusing me.
