I don't usually hold with the whole "kill 'em, bring 'em back" bits. It annoys the crap out of me even in the tv series itself, ie Carson Beckett. But this was not a bad idea.

I have to say it got a little too emotional Ronon focused at certain points, though at least they were blessedly short. Then again, that's just my own interpretation of that character. I just don't see him with watery eyes over something like this unless completely alone...maybe. Again, that's just me.

I give full props where creativity and originality is concerned. It was definitely a unique idea. My only real overall complaint is that there were sections/gaps that felt like the entire piece was rushed. I feel like it needed to be fleshed-out a little more in certain areas. The easy banter in the dialogue early on gave it a much more friendly feel in stark contrast to the events that followed. Nice touch.

Overall, satisfactory, could use a little polishing. I look forward to finding more.

It was a grand tale!

You ripped my heart right out of my breast and left me bleeding and anguished on the floor. I cried from the time Teyla died until the end of the story. Now, just thinking of what might have been has left me vunerable and empty. I hope to pull myself together before tonight.

Now see, to me this is the perfect kind of "deathfic." Death occurs but it isn't permanent. "Near-deathfic," I guess. I had to reread a couple lines twice before I realized that John had shot Teyla. At first I had thought his reaction to Teyla being shot was a little over the top, until I reread it and realized where the wound was and who had caused it. Then it made perfect sense. Sheppard always seems unbreakable, but hurting Teyla would be the one thing that could cause him to shatter completely. Great story, and nice little side-story with Ronon's birthday. I never really thought about it before, but I think the only birthday mention we ever got was that little bit on the balcony between Weir and Sheppard. We never got to have the fun of a real birthday party. You'd think in five years SOMEONE would have celebrated that. XD

This was an amazing story…you captured everyone emotions so well, it was heartbreaking…when John lost it at Ronon’s party so did I…sniff. Powerful writing…

I'm just so grateful that you gave the heads up about death fics, otherwise I would have been a total mess as I devoured each and every word of this amazing fic.

You are the most wonderful of story tellers, weaving magic into your words and producing a picture that stays long after the words have ended.

Whoa! Another well-written story that gripped me from the beginning. If SGA had had you as one of their writers, we wouldn't have had some of the lame stories of the last season. And this was a team story, my favorite kind. Well done, Frisco, well done!

This is an amazing story. You really need to send this to someone to have it published. What a fabulous idea, so very well thought out and executed flawlessly. I'm actually struggling for something to say, I am so stunned by the content of this story; the quality is as always superb but there is something about this one that puts it above anything else you've ever done, and in my humble, inconsequential opinion that is extremely hard to do. As always I look forward to the next adventure that you create, I cannot wait to see where you take us next.

This was so sad, Teyla dying and the funeral and John's guilt made me cry - and not many fics do but this one did! The ending was great! I'm glad John was able to save Teyla. Well done! (:
