I never liked that Zuko made such a move, it always seemed like he was thinking too much like Azula (which may have been the point.) What you really got right was what Iroh's reactions should have been.

And it was educational with the Author's Note, too! Bonus points!

Zuko & Iroh are very well characterized in this- I like it! I wish Zuko had shown this much forethought in canon...

Yup-- the worst crime, because it took away resources from the ones who had given a portion of their own up to you. A murderer's crime was at root against the victim; a theft was against the household. Sounds weird, but my Welsh ancestors knew what they were doing.

Excellent story! Sometimes I wonder how Zuko would've been if somebody'd gotten that guy into some Anger Management sessions (assuming he didn't burn the facility down.)
