I loved meeting Jasper! You did that so well. I could just picture Alice being all bouncy and nervous as she introduced him to Edward. Her brother's opinion is important to her, even is she says it isn't.

I also thought it funny that Esme knew Bella spent the night in Edward's room, and teased her about it. I know I laughed at my own kids. Like we can't tell what's going on, we've been there ourselves!

Do you have a thread started for this yet? Or am I just blind and unable to find it? I've been terrible about being on the threads, but you should have one.

So, there wasn't much info in there about how Edward became the leader. Like Bella, I think there was more to it, but Edward doesn't want her to know. It was probably pretty violent. As I remember, these were hard men fighting an impossible battle.

I adore you, I adore this fic, and I crush on IRAward.

It makes me feel breezy and dreamy, and I fall in love a little bit more every chapter. Sigh.

I TOTALLY needed the history lesson...while I enjoyed the story, I was kinda of ignorant about the semantics of it all... so that was really helpful.

And Edward is the leader? I can see that, but I sometimes wonder what he's thinking. I wonder why he decided to make a move on Bella at the time that he did. I like how he's in the protector role, but I'm not sure I completely trust him... I'm not sure what to think yet.

Love the story, and can't wait for more... whoever put the AoE contest together was brilliant... I have enjoyed more stories from that contest than any other! So glad that you decided to continue your story!

Really enjoyed this first chapter...the whole rescue scene and lemon was pretty hot!

Several different exciting things happening/revealed in this chapter but really, it was all about the intimacy for me.

An incredibly - if not unexpectedly - sexy line: "the promise of sex in his eyes" Rawr.

And what was probably the best use of the word "transcendent" I have ever seen. Really fantastic word choice.

The thigh goes between the legs and then the shit hits the fan! And it wasnt so bad, but it still felt realistic, and like the things that were going to be said were said, so I liked this. Not overly dramatic, which is always nice. Reality is better.

I really admire the focus you take with this. You give us details and settings and arent necessarily minimal about it as much as you just are disciplined and collected, and I really like that. It makes everything so, so very clean and really enhances your story and the reading experience.

This chapter felt like a great bag of things that was just itching to be opened.

This line made me smile, I like when characters have their unique voices and you can tell its them without even seeing their name: "Serious enough for you need to keep your feckin’ voice down"

“You needn’t take the Lord’s name in vain to make a point,” for whatever reason, that was so cute, and so funny but at the same time, felt GENIUNE with this character when really it would be a train wreck anywhere else. I love it.

This was so incredibly adorable, and I loved Edward in this moment: "He automatically ran his hand through his hair, frowning. “It’s not that red, is it?”

And here is where I loved you: "the shades of his hair. Oh, the shame." And want to marry this line.

Have some time to get caught up on reading - guess what I'm reading first? Yep.

I like Bella here. You know, she just seems so... she seems sweet but it isnt overly, like naively so, she just seems like a nice girl, who does things with her heart, which makes her go into things full force. And I like that. I can get behind that. Normally Bella's irritate me. It's rare that I like one. I really hope I can like Edward just the same.

This, was very pretty in its way: "the silly little sparks of hope"

Edward's the leader? Funny, I thought it was Emmett or maybe James. Although, I'm not surprised. Edward is a take charge guy. It does make me worry, though. I can see trouble coming, and perhaps Edward leaving Bella for her own protection. If it's out that they're together, I'm afraid the UFF guys might use her to make trouble for Edward.

Oh, James isn't a mole or something, is he? I swear, I should be a conspiracy theorist or something. I always read too much into things.

Sorry I didn't read last night. The bushes are full, and I put up five batches of blackberry jam. My fingers are all purple now!
