Good Bones voice, and interaction, and Kirk attitude. I enjoyed this story a lot.

YAY for Bones' catchphrases. I seriously love the "I'm a doctor, not an agony aunt." That totally made me giggle and is certifiably the best line in this fanfic. I can totally see Bones saying that to Kirk. Also, nice catch on the whole Kirk not having anywhere else to go... the movie ever-so-conveniently glossed over the fact that Kirk as smuggled aboard and therefore wouldn't have been assigned a room. Bones and Kirk are perfect roommates. Kirk gets Bones to loosen up a bit while Bones is there to tape him together again.

Even though I reviewed Prelude and liked it, I like this one much more. The dialogue is as sharp and witty and acaberic as any in the movie or TOS. Bones and Kirk are both so in character. More Bones-Kirk friendship fics please!

fun story, ginger. You dialogue sparkles. Amidst the humor you were able to interejct elements of their friendship and the consequences of the what happened during the film.

No matter how gruff McCoy presents, he cares. Jim is his best friend after all.

“Shut up and let me sleep. I'm exhausted and I didn't get into half the fights you managed to lose today so I know you need it too.”

A lot of quotable stuff here, but this made me smile. I love the Bones-Kirk friendship.

This was adorable and happy and seemed very in-character. I love that Jim was wandering the halls and that no-one, not even McCoy realized he had no where to go and that he sounds so DEFEATED when he shows up at Bones' door. Just exhausted and at the end of his rope and he went to his best friend.

SO HAPPY. I love it.

As I think I've said before, I am in love with your Bones and Kirk. I'm struggling to get Bones down right now and I keep reading your stories in hopes that it'll help my writing. And... well, I think I may be dragging my friend to the movies later today to see the movie again.

Well-written and great missing scene from the movie!

This was wonderfully written. I like when people write fics about the things we forget post-movie. Like, for example, the fact that Jim wasn't even supposed to be on the ship in the first place! Ha! So of course he doesn't have a room to sleep in. How convenient the movie glosses over this fact. Just like it glosses over the amount of time the whole Nero fiasco actually takes. I'd say a few days, though others think only one day. Who knows.

Anyway, thanks for writing such an excellent fic!

Good story. It's nice to see the development and continuation of the friendship between these two. Kirk and Bones are very much in character and the interaction is very natural and believable.

Aw. You have a talent for these two. I can't help smiling at their interactions. They're so realistic and funny. Great job. Can't wait for more.
