Guest 2/17/13 . chapter 19 really wonderful! |
numb3rs mystery 9/23/12 . chapter 19Hey, I know this is kind of late ,like way too late but this is my favorite story of all times .And since I only read Numb3rs I have to tell you I like all you're stories and I have 4 of them in my favorite list and you with my favorite authors so thank you |
weldolet 1/10/10 . chapter 19What a superb story ALEO - thank you! Its your ability to describe the action sequences in such detail, the reader can actually place themselves in the scene and that takes a lot of skill I reckon. And a cleverly thought out plot, don't know how you come up with your ideas! You seem to research your stories really well too - (either that or you are a genius!). The layout of the FBI office seemed so right to me... And of course the faceless "control" was given not only a face, but a personality... Of course your stories centering on my favourite character do a lot to adding to the enjoyment too! :) This one particularly grabbed me and I have been enjoying it over several days. Don on his own, fighting to keep everyone safe, second guessing the invaders, constantly questioning and berating himself, worrying about his family and about the hostages, and all with just the right amount of angst, tension and drama. Not to mention the tantalising hint of anguish from Charlie and Dad. Having David feeling inneffectual outside was a good touch! And then The Die Hard bit at the end - priceless! Thanks again for a great story - as I said before don't know how you do it! |
obaona 12/6/09 . chapter 19Wow! That was very intense - I sometimes have difficulty getting into action, but you grounded it so much in Don's character that it was very exciting and I just kept reading and reading and reading. Wonderful job! |
muchtvs 6/30/09 . chapter 19Excellent ending. I love that Colby brought up Die Hard...lol. I was thinking the same thing. Anyway, I thought it was very "Don" that he went back to work...and that Alan was none too pleased. And that Don...even while still in the hospital...was itching to see his team to get the lowdown on how things played out. Thanks again for taking the time to write. |
epalladino 6/27/09 . chapter 19Excellent story. Don was perfect and I loved your OCs. Thanks for the exciting read, Beth |
Sharon 6/27/09 . chapter 19I always look forward to and enjoy reading what you write. Your stories are fast paced and tightly written with good characterization. You're evil to put Don through so much, but as long as you put him back together at the end, I won't complain. Keep up the awesome work! |
Keyanna 6/27/09 . chapter 19You know, I would say that this was the crappiest weekend off ever, but I think Valerie Vancollie's new story has probably stolen that distinction. Still, not at all fun for Don. Or anyone else in the story, really. Loved the scene between Don and Alexis. Glad that she set him straight on the not feeling guilty front. And I was very amused by her teasing him over the "old" remark. And she's proud of him! So sweet. I really like your portrayal of Wright in this story. It's a good balance of compassion and professionalism that give him a very personal feel rather than just some faceless superior. And bonus Don-whumping for us? I'd say that you shouldn't have, but you might take me seriously. Thanks for another great story! |
Keyanna 6/27/09 . chapter 18Okay, *now* that's all three of Kurt's men (and Simon). Even though technically Don only killed two of them. I wish Kurt were dead, though. He's not the kind of guy you'd like to have holding a grudge against you, even from prison. Now Don can get properly taken care of, yay! And Charlie and Alan will be able to stop having heart attacks. Well, this time. Don is so awesome. I'm glad that people recognize this fact. |
H3l3n3 6/27/09 . chapter 19At last the WE. That gave me time to read the last chapters of your story. And what a story! I loved it! Excellent suspens - excellent action - Don-whump - and a fun end - What more could we ask? Very good work ALEO! Ok, now I'm off to read your one-shot (more Don-whump you said? What a treat! ;-)) |
cflat 6/26/09 . chapter 19Great story! Sad that it's over. I really did like getting a chapter a day; that way I knew I had at least one fanfic chapter to read. I've never seen Die Hard, so the ending wasn't quite as funny to me. But still, it was a good ending. |
newgal 6/26/09 . chapter 19Die Hard, lol Can't believe I didn't think of that. Thanks for another excellent story. |
Berrie Nicole 6/26/09 . chapter 19I loved this story, just like I have loved all you others. You did a great job. I cannot wait for your next one. |
Queen of Cliffies 6/26/09 . chapter 19Loved it, loved it, LOVED IT! |
Maz101 6/26/09 . chapter 19Loved it. Loved it. Loved it. Great Don characterisation - from the action, the concern for others and his professionalism, to the calm acceptance of what he had done, his guilt over calling Alexis old (sweet!) and his determination to get on with the routine procedures afterwards. I admire your style! And your apparent knowledge or research inot the detail of departments, procedures and law language thoughout (Hm...ALEO...is there a clue in there?). Thanks for a great read - I will really miss your daily updates. |
