Lovely, but so sad. I was hoping for a bridge across the chasm, even if only for a moment.

This was very good. You captured Illya quite well, as well as the young lady's reactions to him and the whole situation. Thanks for sharing.

As always artfully and wonderfully handled. You have such a way with both the guys, making them human, but never allowing the reader to forget the very nature of their existence, much less thier chosen career path.
