I understand your reasons perfectly. Since it has been a long while, I reread the whole story and I like it very much. I see now how you're building Kenshin's outside shell you could say, from the other's point of view. And you are right, it's fun to imagine what is going on inside Kenshin's mind, as I recall what I know from the Ovas. I'm looking forward to the next chapter!

I have just discovered and enjoy this story. You are correct, it is a very different perspective. I enjoy the 'behind the scenes' writing. Tomoe was at the Kohagi inn for several months before she and Himura were sent to Otsu. There is a story for each day of any of the characters. Naoto should add some nervous, comic relief. After all, it was never written that 'Battousai' killed anyone at the end.

if this is based on the manga will this end w/ tomoe dying? I'm never for angsty ending. Maybe you could make her alive for a change. And please don't bring in the other namely kaoru and company if your are going to be bias. I don't like character bashing. Glad you make Tomoe more human. Tired of stories making her an ice queen w/ no emotions whatsoever.

This is simply amazing. One of the few stories that I actually feel guilty leaveing without giving a review. Everyone is very much in character and I love all the reactions and interactions between everyone. This is a very involving story, and a very intelligent read. This is the sort of thing I look for in a war story (not to mention it was Hitokiri Himura in it). Please keep up the wonderful work, I look forward to the next chapter with baited breath!

I like your story a lot. I think the pace is alright so far, you are giving detail and showing a side of Tomoe that seems very human and in character, kind of how she would be behind the scenes. I love that since Tomeo is my fav character. I would also like to see more of Kenshin, like the story from his point of view. Oh I wonder what Kenshin said to Naoto, I want to know! I look foward to reading the next chapter.
