 Blue-Eyed Chica 2009-12-28 . chapter 1aw poor jim! |
Tenkoi 2009-12-07 . chapter 1I have to hand it to you! I read your story expecting it to be one of the 400 or so SpockXKirk fanfics but your story captivated me like no other! (It took me about 5 seconds to go from SiS to your MOG and started reading that too XD) and I love you. I love you so much for writing such an amazing series! I do hope you decide to finish this series since its really quite delicious..(I'm devouring every word at school, on the bus, at home and its still not enough!!) and your universe is really quite interesting!!
Hoping to see more of your writing! (and diving right back into the Native Sky series)
Happy Early Merry Christmas! I send you virtual brownies and carrots! |
SiriuslySad 2009-11-19 . chapter 1...can you explain to me? cause i want to understand kirk pls. |
Songbird Severine 2009-10-18 . chapter 1*bawls* That wasn't a happy ending at all! *goes off to sulk* But I am faving the story!! XD
I do love it when people mix my two favorite things -- horses and K/S. ;) I enjoyed every second of the story. I even read it as slowly as humanly possible to make it last longer lol.

 VegHead07 2009-10-06 . chapter 1*takes deep breath*
I've read this story before, in passing, but just in case I forgot to review the first time, let me just say this story is amazing. I love the detail, the depth of it. Reading this is life watching a movie unfold before my eyes.
You are so talented, and I am grateful you decided to write this. :) |
 Greenhemoglobin 2009-08-27 . chapter 1Absolutely Enchanting! |
Kat 2009-08-11 . chapter 1 Oh, goodness. I was there; I've been there. I've always had a 'thing' with horses and animals (and have been compared to and teasingly called a 'whisperer') and gods, you just...you put me right in Jim's shoes. My body was physically reacting. Beautiful writing, just fucking gorgeous. Made me want to go play with my own horses even though it's the middle of the night here. You have a very deep understanding of people and of what you wrote about and it's clear. Great, great character study to a side of Jim most people don't touch on. Sad, almost sweet ending.
Fantastic job you've done. |
 Dream's Abyss 2009-07-26 . chapter 1Well, at least they have a start for their friendship. :) |
Lady Merlin 2009-07-23 . chapter 1hah. wow this was really well written. the emotion was tangible, and the last bit was ever so sad. I hope you can make it better. love them to bits, and you're doing a great job.
Love,
Lady Merlin |
Harm Marie 2009-06-29 . chapter 1Wow. Very well written. |
Osa 2009-06-23 . chapter 1Oh, my, this is wonderful! I loved "Hose Whisperer" and really, really hope ypu continue this story. |
Exangeline 2009-06-16 . chapter 1This was absolutely stunning. The way you described Spock's observations of Jim as he whispered and cantered with the horses was amazing, to say the least. The complexity of each paragraph, and how much emotion you conveyed through your words floored me. I adore every aspect of this - from Spock's surprise, to this unseen, feral side of Jim that is so unusual, yet makes so much sense. It's gorgeous.
You executed the conversation at the end between the two perfectly, and just when I thought you couldn't possibly deepen the scene even more so, you pulled it off by Jim uttering: "Then you don't understand." I could imagine that, in silent response to that, Spock would endevour to try and understand him, that it would be that moment that defined the path their friendship took. While it might not be obvious to a casual observer, I believe that this is very much the "Pre-Spirk" story you have laelled it to be.
This is fantastic. Brilliant. The way you write, and your methord of capturing the audience's attention - well, it works. This is undoubtedly one of the best Star Trek 2009 stories I have read, to date, and I have loved every minute of it.
I can't wait to read more of your writings.

Sierra Nichole 2009-06-14 . chapter 1All right, so I decided you really do deserve a true review, rather than just me telling you what I think via email... but of course, you already know that I loved this, so there's no need to repeat that.
I LOVED IT! (lol)
Seriously, Spock's characterization in particular really stands out as spot-on... but Kirk's as well, I have a hard time believing you're so new to the fandom. Sure you weren't a closet Trekkie all along?
As always, your descriptions were amazing... vivid, I could see everything. And I love how you can incorporate horses into any universe, and make it completely natural. You're awesome.
Luv ya girl,
Sierra |
Schattentaenzerin 2009-06-12 . chapter 1Wonderful, but also ... sad. You write a great new side of Kirk and you show also that everybody (Spock) think they know him, but in reality he is a mystery. He has friends and fellows, but in reality he is alone. Nobody see the world like him...
Maybe you could write a prequel about Spocks attempt to learn the real James T. Kirk behind his playboy-mask. This would be great.
And the names... Nicholas Evans is the author of the "The Horse Whisperer" and Pilgrim is the horse, which need thre help of Tom Booker, the horse whisperer. |
Kadasa-Mori 2009-06-10 . chapter 1Wow! This is a fantastic story! You write everything so clearly I could see every detail before me as if I were standing where Spock was!! I loved it!
