Virtuella 2009-06-25 . chapter 4A story for passover? That hadn't occurred to me at all, but how very appropriate! |
Virtuella 2009-06-25 . chapter 3That was a lovely way to round off the story. Did you let Frodo speak in italics to show that he is not the same any more?
Forgot to say about the previous chapter how much I liked it that some of the women and children went, too. |
Virtuella 2009-06-25 . chapter 2What a fascinating idea, that the remaining members of the fellowship would complete their journey to Mount Doom and thus become witnesses to a renewed country. The image of the lake and the trees is so beautiful! |
West Dean 2009-06-22 . chapter 3Well you certainly know your Tolkien!
This story has a lovely feel to it - full of lovingly rendered details. Beautiful descriptions and characterisations - a post Ring story that can be truly believed in. |
Virtuella 2009-06-13 . chapter 1That's a very good point, how people can relate so much better to the fate of a few than to the sufferings of many. I think that has to do, amongst otehr things, with out inability to actually imagine really large numbers.
I like your locus amoenus. ;-) |
