It was the confrontation that had to happen, and poor Charlie Brown handled it as well as can be expected (i.e. not well at all). Hopefully, he'll find a way to deal with this, but it sure looks dark right now.

BTW, you've actually gotten me interested in the Snoopy subplot now.

That was a thrilling read, although I didn't think Charlie Brown would go as far as to claim that he believes in the Great Pumpkin. I love how you're handling the PPatty/CB/Marcie love triangle that is bound to get yet more dramatic.

I'm scared!

Several things, One: Linus does NOT "worship the Great Pumpkin." Two: Charlie Brown still talks to Shermy we just don't see him in the strip. Three: Peppermint Patty is not a health nut, "It's times like this when I wish I was back in school, I left six donuts in my desk." Four: Violet used to sort of like him (though she preferred Pigpen or Shermy, and she and Patty still hang out with the others.

Other than those four, this fic is amazing! And you've got it so right!

I remember Molly Volley, Crybaby, and Benny. And the two different settings you use - one at camp, the other back home with Lucy and Schroeder - is also clever, since Schroeder would rather be playing his piano than go to camp, and Lucy would just want to get away from her brothers (and be with Schroeder). Very cool chapter.

This is turning out to be a great story. Molly has always been one of my secret favorites, and she's completely in character here. Delightful! I guess you must be as much of a Peanuts fanboy as me, since you keep bringing in so many minor characters from different storylines through the years.

I love how you're using actual elements from the comic strips...for example, Charlie Brown's "pencil pal", Linus's belief in the Great Pumpkin, Sally's term of "sweet baboo", and the unrequited love Lucy has for Schroeder. I also liked how you described Patty and Violet. I've always liked the older characters (the original Patty, Violet, Shermy, ect). And how you used a series of 'I's for Woodstock's dialouge...very smart.

It's nice to see a Peanuts fanfic that is true to the concept, but still has some real development. You're taking advantage of the underlying rivalry between Marice and P. Patty, and it looks promising.

It's all very much in character, too. Charlie Brown makes an annoyingly big deal out of his low self-esteem, but that's just like him. Also, I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who always thought Violet was an especially mean and nasty b*h. She was much worse than Lucy ever was.

Good start! I don't have too much time to go that in-depth, but I wanted to let you know that you're off to a great beginning and I think this is going to be just as good as its prequel.

More Lucy, please? (I won't try to force my LucyCB pairing on you, as much as I love it, but I would like to see more of her...)
