You're making me miss horses somethin' terrible... I've always loved them and I haven't been around in a horse in a terribly long time. :(
Anyway, your story(s) is(are) very interesting, I am anticipating more:D. A couple things: one, irrelevant somewhat, I don't feel that Jim is really very in character with all this-I do believe the plot could be done with him more in character, but it would probably take a rewrite and whatnot and well... it's good enough as it is, a bit of OOC doesn't matter too much if everything else is good; the other thing is I'm wondering if you have a beta? I noticed several spelling errors, such as "rite" at one point, and several other mistakes of that sort. You may want to reread a little to correct those minor things. Anyway, that said, I like, keep it up:)

Wow, very intriguing story. This caught my attention as a long time horse lover and owner. I think Jim's right--the Arabian could have survived and thrived on Vulcan. Above all, that breed is the most courageous. Kind of like Jim... ;)

But...okay, paints? Ugh! Sorry, but it's not even a "breed" but a type. Because, you can have "paint" quarter horses, and "paint" mustangs, and so on. However, they tend to have awful conformation, and due to the dominance of quarter horse blood in most paints, they have that same peevish temperament. Talk about Roman nosed, ill-bred, stupid animals...I just can't believe Jim's favorite breed would be paints! They tend to be mulish and ...well, stupid!

I know, I know, everyone likes them because of their purtyfull coloring. :sigh:

I do hope Spock eventually understands though. I wonder how Jim will explain it? ;)

Another excellent story from you...

I think the American Paint Horse is a perfect choice for Kirk's favorite, that or a Mustang, simply because Kirk has always had that all-American boy, cowboy appeal about him... it just fits. So good choice!

I love that I learn whenever I read your stories... words and phrases from different languages, facts about horses that I didn't know. It's great.

And I also love how you can write a story that has so much description in it, and non-dialogue sequences, but still make it interesting. It never drags on...
