Another excellent oneshot! I like the Hurt!Jim here and how he was completely upstaged by McCoy and Spock. McCoy's the real hero here. And I like seeing McCoy as a hero. His last line is so resignedly Bones, it's perfect.

But even though Kirk was out of commission for most of the fanfic, I loved his remarks. The Kirk comments were spot on and made me fall in love with him even more.

Haha, yeah. McCoy and Spock make a really good team. You depict it really well, I should let you know. They're both in character and *shock* getting along! It's nice to see them work together because of Jim, thanks for this. :D

Wow! You are such a talent at setting a scene and ratcheting up the tension. However, I'm beginning to wonder if you have something against Kirk. He seems gravely injured in at least of couple of your fics. Maybe it's that you like McCoy; instead.

I loved the action in this and how both Spock and Bones got to take out some bad guys.

I also dug the mini-debate on combat psychology. Well done!

The illustration by hamano_ayumi was lovely. Your interpretation of it was brilliant. The story was tight, ciompact, with just enough detail to give us the gist without going wordy and overwhelming. I liked the concern you conveyed among them, even as all heck breaks loose and with McCoy's mental note not to panic, you give us a great contradictory snapshot of McCoy doing opposite of that yet still reactionary enough to fend off some on the stairs towards the end.

All in all, a great read. I've enjoyed it! Thank you!
