I dunno, I kinda liked it but it felt like Kratos gave up too soon on his own. Also, it feels more like it's part of a bigger story than a stand-alone one shot. Are you sure you won't continue with it?

I would honestly believe it would take a little more on Zelos' part to convience Kratos of all people to do something like that. I mean, yeah, Kratos may know of Zelos' woes, but would he really see Lloyd in Zelos' shoes? Or would he actually have to picture it in order for him to understand? Zelos would have to have literally said something like "Do you want Lloyd to suffer the same fate as me?" for Kratos to react and actually show that he was phased.

Still, the idea was good. It's just that Kratos would need a lot more pushing before he starts thinking "I should do this." on his own.

I liked the summed up backstory of Zelos' past with his parents. It kind of gives off that "Be glad you didn't go through what I did" feeling, or you can relate to it. I love it. You don't really see Zelos as the type to hold a grudge over something like that, so it's nice to see that even he has a grudge against his parents.

All in all, though, it was a nice piece of work. :D

n.n I was so happy when I saw that part in the manga. As much as I love the stoic bastard, Kratos needs to get off his mopey butt and do what he needs to do! (SMacks Kratos) Brooding eternally is selfish because you hurt those around you. It's quite all right to feel bad for yourself sometimes, it's natural, but when you drag it out you hurt others and that's when you need to stop.

...Right, (cough) now that I've thouroughly bored anyone reading this...

Nicely done! n.n It was so right in every way! Now Zelos just needs to tell Kratos the same speech when the BEEP tries to go to Derris-Kharlan...
