jamuraa 3/27/13 . chapter 1ITS A REALLY AWESOME STORY |
Runecutter 3/26/13 . chapter 5An almost perfect chapter and i love the idea of reforming the order into an organisation that well... DOES SOMETHING. That's the thing that peeved me enormously with Dumbledore's regency about his "vigilante formation" they were not really good at defending, sucked at spying and even information gathering brought nothing because it all just ended in Dumbledore's desk and there wasn't even a "need to know" system you could recognize from their actions. But honestly... the thing with the battleships is WAY out of anything realistic and feasible. For one those BUFFs really needed a hell of a lot of crew even when modernized in the eighties and shortly serving in the Gulf... And then they're not miracle weapons but have a range of maybe 60 km (40 miles more or less) which does not really work too well with Great Britain where many targets lie FAR out of that. And i don't think even massive confunding could get their hands on stuff like the Harpoon Cruise missile... or the knowledge and codes to use some of them. No having ships as mobile "safehouses" is a clever idea, but nothing military... just have James use the Potter wealth to acquire two to five small container ships... not the giants that don't even fit through panama or the Suez canal anymore but ones that are used for short transports around the coastal waters and so on... put a lot of equipment and living containers on them, maybe add a bit of magic for space expansion or better securing the containers used to the deck, set a helicopter platform on top of them and voila... a brilliant base cruising around the island ready to be an emergency portkey target, supply base, hiding place for semilegal stuff and staging area for attacks, maybe even a base for a quick response force. The beauty with this is modularity, very small crew requirements, some of these should need as few as five people to sail around and they're completely inconspicuous not like military vessels like the IOWA class... And the helicopter may be useful in the distribution of supplies and personnel, extraction of forces in the field and all around fast travel with nonmagical ways (in case apparition, portkeys and Floo are somewhat incapacitated or under observation or they need something muggle for dealing with Muggle companies) The Malfoy line had me slightly confused, then aggravated and now i'm more or less neutral to the idea of the girls posing as Malfoy daughters and even of Draco's switch against the changeling. The funniest bit was how Rookwood got some results but interpreted them all in as wrong a way as possible... |
Runecutter 3/26/13 . chapter 2Ingenious! :D I love the two supertoddlers from hell already and they've yet got to do anything outside their own home... let them start school and it will be creepily superb to watch them wreak havok in the world :D |
Runecutter 3/26/13 . chapter 1It was the worst of all times, it was the best of all times :D Astonishing how much desperation some simple changes to the logic of the story can wreak and i'm not really talking of the self absorbed whining of the wizards left behind by Harry, but him who saw no other way to get his peace and freedom than to end it all and be damned all that stay behind. Whow that was some strong imagery right there. Luckily Hermione may be one to easily fall into the traps of life (just look how book!Hermione got somehow lovesick for RON of all people *sigh* and before that almost acted as bad as in this story here when she starved Harry's needs for human contact just because the bulimic Santa Clause Cosplayer said so... *grumble*) but she also was able to learn from her failures (except for the Ron one... i'll never give up to hold THAT grudge!) and thus we have a hope for a nice and uplifting story with some nasty surprises for the meddler and the halfblooded maniac... You've found a wonderful role for Hermione to fit in. Both in this not very advantageous way and the possibilities of the new future with the twin girls! |
Guest 3/9/13 . chapter 12 Your fic is so humorous, it had me giggling at several different points. And the premise of it is so interesting. Three Hermiones? Oh gosh, I can't wait until they finally meet Harry and all the other Hogwarts students. Please be alright. I really hope you're ok. I've read your ANs on battling cancer and with your lack of updates on any of your stories (yes, I stalked your profile)... We, readers, are getting worried. |
chain.reader 3/1/13 . chapter 12Loved it, hope it continues |
chain.reader 2/28/13 . chapter 4roflmao, revenge, served, cold. |
Caelleh 2/28/13 . chapter 12Why is this story so good? I felt like a fat guy with a bowl full of fudge: I just couldn't stop, even though I was in class. Great job; terribly addicting stuff. |
Katara-Hatake 2/20/13 . chapter 2If I was him, I'd have checked the nanny & the twins. The-one-who-is-plotting K-H |
Pyro-Neko-Isis 2/13/13 . chapter 12Interesting, I am looking forward to reading more |
chris 2/10/13 . chapter 12 i hope your alive and story is very interesting, while reading a lot of fan fictions,i don't think i've quite seen one that has magical clones of just one person nor had time travel in the same story. i hope the story's not over and life gives you the time and inspiration to complete this story. |
321noeoen123 2/7/13 . chapter 12Will there be an overload of girls with Hermine Jane? And how are Hermine Tina and Ann doing? And how do the House Elves react to their new master(s), will there be conflict? While completely on the other side of what I normally read about Hermione, your story had gotten me hooked and I can't wait for the next chapter! Please? :) |
Arkanrium 2/6/13 . chapter 12Lily is making a bunch of logic errors there, Evolution and souls are not mutually exclusive (even if I do not believe in souls) that is even more true in a universe with magic. Ghosts/Souls could be reverberation of the tough patterns of higher level thinking life form on the magical background, they could also not really be soul as such but self contained magical construct built by accidental magic on death (the point is there are many thing that could lead to souls, they do not logically necessitate a god) Also Social Darwinism does not logically flow from acceptance of evolution, and while eugenic ideals and Social Darwinism are often part of the same ideology they are not a single idea either; one is concerned with the physical body and making individuals as "perfect" as possible the other is concerned with ideas and insuring that the "wrong" ideas are pruned from society. Anyway the story is still very good, looking forward to reading more if this updates again :/ |
Guest 2/6/13 . chapter 1 Hermione had never seen Harry hate anyone before. She saw it now as he pieced the Headmaster with a demented gaze. And that marks the end of anything good this story might have had. But then again I already knew two sentences in that this would be...eh. I mean Harry Potter is a hateful little brat. He hates Malfoy at the dresser shop because he felt stupid and because anyone with blond hair is apparently evil in his sight. He hates Snape because what? Snape doesn't fall over himself like the charms teacher or buy him brooms or basically give him a pass over ever so much? Because he doesn't like being sassed by an idiot with no talent who gets all his best moves from DEs and Dark Creatures? A little idiot that has fantasies about hitting him with Crucio and like to curse people behind their backs? Man whatever. I had hoped from the summary that this story would be interesting, but it's just more H/Hr fanwank nonsense. Way to derail the characters of Ron and Snape, but whatever. |
Chargone 2/6/13 . chapter 12Been almost a year since this was last updated. Any hope of it being continued? It's a brilliant bit of writing, even if the last scene in this chapter is rather heavy handed (not that i particularly disagree). This is also one of the bettee evil dumbledore fics I've read, at least so far as how you handle dumbledore himself. It'd be interesting to watch Hermione Jane sort out the wizarding world, and her plans for St. Trinians, Though Ann could do with more spotlight and... T... her name's escaped me, the third Hermione, needs a new project... and they've not even met Harry yet! (And how's That going to work, i wonder? At this rate one of them's going to be a teacher or something by the time he's 11. Kind of significant given that he's basically their main reason for Being, at least as they are, at this point.) |
