You're a fabulous writer Nevermore, and I really love your stories. I really love the way you get inside the character's heads and probe their thoughts and motivations.

But there's one little detail that's cropped up in a couple of your stories that I just had to comment on... and that's the idea that transgenics don't pass on their traits to their offspring. I'm sure you've heard this from other reviewers by now, but what Renfro actually said was that HUMAN-transgenic pairings only produce ordinary offspring. She never said anything about transgenic-transgenic pairings. And obviously second-gen transgencis *must* have their parents' traits, or Menticore wouldn't have bothered instituting the whole breeding program.

Just a minor niggling detail that was bugging me (well, that and killing of Alec in Dreams Torn Asunder). Otherwise your stories rock!

its so cool that u wrote this a long time ago, and its actually kinda the way the storyline is going on the show. its the perfect way to bring lydecker back! its too bad on the show, the ppl never talk these things out with eachother. they have such emotional problems. lol

THis story gives a lot of insight on the charecters in the show. I really enjoy it.

I think you're doing a good job with theorizing, but this chapter is hard for me to get into. It's told from Logan's point of view, but the characterization seems to be just a shell for you to put the theory in, as opposed to other fics of yours I have read in which the characterization is an integral piece of the story. I would have enjoyed this more if it had more character moments and less reasoned introspection.

I have mostly been trying to pretend the whole "Manticore" breeding program thread of this season's plot doesn't exist. After watching the last few episodes, I gradually realized that White and his cronies are going to be around for a while. For the most part, I followed and agreed with the reasoning in this piece, and I appreciated having most of the facts laid out in one fic. The only thing that I disagreed with was the choice of Max for narrator. In my perceptions of her, I have never known her to be so introspective. She's a soldier, a doer. The only Max part in this one that rang true for me was the part about Logan trying to figure out the riddle for her.

Finally someone did this. I have waited months for something of this quality and writing dealing with the genetic issue, which is by far the linchpin of this season and will probably dominate the next as well. This story starts out great. I hope to see more parts of this. And soon (there is a limited window for this type of story)
