Moshimoro6785 7/12/03 . chapter 42omg! i loved this chapter! lol.. i laughed at the last scene and i felt the drama and the frustration in the characters.
all i can say is ..
more more more! :) |
Hanspam 7/12/03 . chapter 42 I am so glad that you updated! And a nice long chapter for me to read, too. I'm sorry this story will be coming to a close soon, because I've enjoyed reading it for ages(even though I didn't review all the time - sorry), but it feels as though it's coming to an end. Please finish it quickly! |
Hagar 7/12/03 . chapter 42I actually laughed at the last scene, and I almost never laugh.
You have a load of typos though, you must have put up this chapter in a real hurry.
Adam and Kat... I could get used to that.
And I just love the way you write Cassie.

Priscilla 7/8/03 . chapter 41What a chapter! Even though there was no sign of Trini or Jason in this one, I really liked it. First of all, you answered a couple of questions I had, like how the bigwigs like Coran and Koran missed the possible ramifications of the Rangers carrying Seals. Surely, Zordon should have known if he entrusted them with something so important and noted it somewhere. BTW, I loved Coran's use of "bullshit" and his explanation for it. It had me rolling!
I'm also glad you got the sticky business of Cassie being possibly in a relationship with Andros and how it afects not only Ashley, but Carlos as well. It was good for Cassie and Ashley to clear the air and get past any sensitivity there might have been over it. I don't blame Ashley for feeling hurt over the thought that Cassie went behind her back to get together with Andros, but I'm very glad Cassie got permission and explained things to her instead of letting Ashley's lack of faith hurt her. Carlos, on the other hand, is going to need more work.
I also have another question. Is there significance as to who broke as a Seal and when and will that give us clues as to who might be next or more importantly, last?
Billy's conversation with TJ and Carlos was cool too, especially where Billy explains why he will and will not approach certain women. I can totally see Trini kicking Jason's ass because he tried to forbid her to do something, especially if it's for another friend. Maybe it would be nice to see Andros in a position where he does show some jealousy, just to get the point across that he has feelings for Cassie, maybe?
Zhane and Adam making up Zhane's will was really well done and showed a lot of forethought on Zhane's part. He has Andros taking care of Karone in case anything happens to him and Cassie as a backup in case anything happens to Andros as well. Not only would Cassie fight like a she-bear to protect Karone, but she would also have a blood tie or heart tie if she gets more involved with Andros. Cassie and Karone could actually end up as sisters-in-law so it would make total sense to have Cassie take care of Karone and the unborn as yet baby.
Kat and Adam, huh? I totally didn't see it coming because they haven't interacted much, but it's a nice way to get Adam to come out of his shell. Kat needs to have someone need her. She could never really get that from Tommy since he's so independent and determined to be the one to shoulder everything. Adam will be a nice change of pace for her since he's highly capable of taking care of himself but doesn't need to prove himself.
All in all, this was wonderful, but you're killing me with those teaser lines! |
Peggy 7/6/03 . chapter 41 go Adam and Kat |
Sam 6/21/03 . chapter 41 nicely done about Andros and Cassie situation.
Go Ashly and Carlo, I hope they'll be together |
Hagar 6/21/03 . chapter 41Up to the last moment, I thought it would be Kat/Billy, but why not? Don't remember I ever saw anyone trying this particular pairing, but there's nothing that *could* go wrong with those two, isn't there?
Funny under a borderline tragic circumstances.

SilverRider 6/21/03 . chapter 41 Adam and Kat a couple? didn't see that coming!
Besides you can't make me wait so long for the next chapter |
Silver Warrior 6/20/03 . chapter 41Who will be the next seal to break? And who is what? |
Priscilla 6/18/03 . chapter 40Damn, the intensity is just getting more and more powerful with each new chapter and the closer they get to the end. I'm really beginning to be afraid of what might happen to the final Seal and I'm so relieved it isn't going to be Trini!
For the first part, I think the two mystery Rangers discussing everyone else are Zack and Tanya because the speech patterns bring them to mind for me. I can just see them sitting on the floor with their back to the wall next to each other and talking, maybe in the Engine Room or something so they have some privacy. That's just my thought though!
Rocky and Aisha's part was also very well done and it really brings up the point that most of those that have already experienced their Seal break are probably feeling very relieved that their pain is pretty much over. It's got to be scary to think of all that pressure and stress building inside them could have killed them with no warning. It's like having a bullet just graze past you and miss you. I think the best thing was when Rocky asked if his relief that it wasn't him or Aisha made him a bad person. He really is sweet that way.
And poor Zhane. First, he's upset because he thinks he won't be one of Zordon's Chosen and now he's upset because he is and it'll probably kill him. This guy doesn't get any breaks, does he? Though I can understand his fear over possibly leaving Karone and his child unprotected. I wonder if there's a small part of him that wishes he hadn't been made one of Zordon's Chosen now that he knows what is likely to happen and also a small part of guilt for feeling that way.
I'm glad Andros knew enough to send Adam, who is very unassuming and able to gently prod Zhane into revealing himself and offer some good advice. I really don't think Andros could have done anything by confronting Zhane without making him feel worse. Good job! You really know your characters!
Jason and Trini are going to break my heart. The love between them is just as strong as that between Kim and Tommy, maybe even stronger in some ways because they understand each other so well because of their longstanding friendship. They both know how hard it has been for the other to go through this and the tentativeness of their newfound romance is just going to make it that much harder. Jason's courage in facing the possibility and his willingness to shoulder the burden is so heroic it makes me want to cry. Trini's silent determination to not lose him and do everything in her power to help him and the rest of them even though she should probably be taking care of herself is also amazing. These two really are the bularks of this team. Kim and Tommy may get the most attention for their heroics but those who serve silently and by example are inspirational as well.
The Tommy/Kim scene had me torn between liking it and not liking it. I loved it because it was absolutely overflowing with that kind of desperation that happens when two lovers are faced with the possibility of being torn from each other and not being able to stop it. There isn't any other type of emotional angst that tops this, in my opinion. However, I was fine until Kim starts wishing that Jason or Zhane be the last and possibly die in order to save Tommy. I can understand Zhane since she doesn't know him that well and isn't that close to him, but to choose Jason when he's been a big brother to her and has been her close friend for so long, even before she knew Tommy? And when Jason is Tommy's best friend and bro? That would devastate Tommy and if he ever knew that Kim thought that way and Jason did die, I think he would resent her for the rest of his life. I know it's just her emotions freaking out but that was just ugly coming from Kim, who we all expect to be sweet and well, Zordon's "pretty princess". Tommy is thinking he wants it to be him so it won't be her, but she wants it to be someone else entirely. Does it ever cross her mind to possibly make that sacrifice for him instead of hoping it's Jason or Zhane? If you did it deliberately to show her human side, then I applaud you for it because you did make her seem very weak and human. Please note that I'm not mad at you or that I don't like your writing or this chapter, far from it. I just didn't like Kim in this section. I want you to continue though so I can find out what happens! The wait just kills me! |
hartfelt 6/8/03 . chapter 40 Well, waht can I say? I am really looking forwards to teh next chapter! This was soo sad towards the end! I want Kim and Tommy to finally get to spend the rest of their lives together! adn for all the rangers to make it out safe and sound. Really can't wait. |
