First thing - I don't believe that evil scientists stopped to be scientists after Igor's act. Schadenfreunde stopped to be one because he was a parasite and inventions thief. Besides - Igor is scholar himself and he could make deal with them that from now on they will be making research for good purposes.

Now on to the story - not bad. The characterization of Ivo and scientist's situation after overthrowing of Malbert was nice, the humor too. I especially liked the way Ivo was cursing Igor ("Ivo stormed out of the room, shaking her fist in the air as though angry at some unknown deity of bad fortune. Bad fortune and hunchbacks.")

This is a fabulous story... I love the direction it's taking and would love to read more. I dig how you actually have created two different characters, this seems to be hard for a lot of writers , but you've done a great job so far. Update soon!
