 pinkphoenix1985 2009-07-11 . chapter 1this is wonderful! |
Dancercuity922 2009-07-04 . chapter 1I can't express how much I adore these Winchester Legacies. I love seeing Dean, Sam and Caleb in the future and seeing how despite all the hardships they've experienced they still managed to have a happy ending. This one in particular was so sweet. I always love seeing the close relationship Dean and Sam share and this fic particularly highlighted that fact. And I can NEVER get enough of Dean and Caleb. Fantastic work, can't wait for more! |
Abandon Structure 2009-07-03 . chapter 1Love the series. I was just wondering...you've mentioned Juliette, Lydia, Mary, and little Jocelyn...are we going to get to see pictures of them anytime soon? Maybe even a 'how Dean met Juliette story?' I'd love to read about Dean falling in love and becoming a father as well as Sam. It'd be awesome. |
twotoe 2009-07-02 . chapter 1There are so many things about this story that I love. Back and forth past and future with the ties to the present. Caleb and Dean still reaching across that divide for the chick flick scenes that they've often needed, mostly avoided, and always benefited from, even if it didn't and couldn't sometimes make the problem better, just easier to bear. Fitting really that the first part of the discussion out on the dock was between the two of them as they both have different feelings and a different connect and understanding of John, than Sam does. I'd say no matter rightly or wrongly no matter who was feeling what, but perhaps there is no right or wrong exactly. So many things the same about how they all deal with each other though, that connects us to the present day boys-minus a bit of most current craziness in their relationships.
Then we have the past all tied up with them growing up and Pastor Jim. Love Atticus's squirrel and it really was fitting in so many ways to have Jim and Dean enter the father and son fishing contest. Not what Dean wanted, but the substitute in this case as far as nurturing Dean was always better than the original. At least for the home and heart sorts of things that Dean needed to have reinforced. Caleb mentioning this was of course interesting even if young Dean didn't quite get it even as Caleb was perhaps also alluding to his own situation with Mac to some extent as well. The past and present kept coming into play in little ways that I loved to see. One, the sea colored glass collage from the Outer Banks, makes me wonder if it was just one of those beach keepsakes or if perhaps that means Caleb came to some sort of peace with his personal tragedy and the ocean. One makes me laugh, Dill the border collie mix, as obviously Boo and his tryst with Penelope bore some fruit at some point. And the last, sheer nostalgia, as we have moved from Dill perhaps the last name from Pastor Jim's To Kill a Mockingbird, to D’Artagnan and Porthoes, names from The Three Musketeers that has always had such a special meaning. So from the new to the old, remembering and valuing the old and moving to the new.
The boys and Mary of course are the future and I have been enjoying so much reading of them and every little tidbit goes together to make a whole. Dean as son and father then ties up in the end once again with past and future. The father he was to Sam, Sam's real father in so many ways. Father and brother, and the person Sam reached to and still reaches to. Loved seeing Sam acknowledge that and see it tie in again with the Compass of that long ago father's day. Love seeing the connection of Dean still being that to Sam and Sam valuing it. I can really see all three of them guarding over the crib of a six month old baby girl.
Sorry to be so long, but I honestly could go on and on. So many refernces, so many small things here that just reach out and either remind me or pull me in. Old and new, all tied to the people we currently love. The Triads old and new as well. All three of them. And fathers, all kinds of fathers too. |
Eva aka Pinkfox 2009-06-24 . chapter 1Great fic. Very interesting to see the boys reflect now that they have families of their own on their own father. The Weechesters are also terribly cute. Sam must have quite some terrible two’s... and Dean is adorable with his fishing. I also loved Sam expressing his feelings about Dean being the one who showed him to be the father he is today. |
tsweeny 2009-06-23 . chapter 1I really enjoyed this story. I especially liked the future part where Sam and Dean have children, Caleb and Bobby are still alive and everyone is pretty much safe and happy. |
Lilly B. 2009-06-22 . chapter 1great father's day story! i really enjoyed reading it...just like i'm enjoying the other legacy stories on the hunter's tomb. it's refreshing to read something set in the future, when the boys are happy and doing well. great job...can't wait for more! |
mlaspike 2009-06-22 . chapter 1I loved your Father's Day story!
How fitting that they were all at the farm. And the refrence to their younger times always has me entranced!
I loved the rock, paper, scissors remark! And it is so funny to see that Sam always wins. Great work! Thank you as always for sharing! |
SumthinWicked 2009-06-18 . chapter 1Aw This was awesome!! I always loved how you write these guys, you guys can do no wrong. Great Job!! |
Becomingwhaturmeantobe 2009-06-18 . chapter 1That was just what I needed to read. It was cute and sweet. I love the look at the future you gave us along with the past as well! I'm looking forward to more stories and the Legacy Series. Thanks for this! |
PADavis 2009-06-18 . chapter 1This was beautifully balanced between melancholy and joy. Loved the idea of a Winchester Legacy series - certainly started well!

tokie-pon 2009-06-17 . chapter 1Very adorable!! I'm so happy you wrote this because I've been feeling deprived of the boys so this'll help hold me over for a bit. I can't wait for more from the Legacy series!! |
masondixon 2009-06-17 . chapter 1A nice story- both parts of it. However I am still a little iffy on the future story of Dean and Sam. I prefer the present and the past. However I am always willing to take a bite of a new Winchester story. Thank You. |
J.F.Z 2009-06-17 . chapter 1Loved it. And to tell you the truth, I've become a sorts 'Winchester Legacy series' junkie. I have read those SO many times!
So i really liked reading the parts about JT, James, Ben,Max and Mary... even tho Caleb,Sam and Dean were just discussing them and they never made the appearance in this story. Got to have more Winchester Legacy series... keep 'em coming! |
Ozlex 2009-06-16 . chapter 1I'm definetly interested in the Winchester Legacy series. The latest season of Supernatural has really shaken my belief in a happy ending for the brothers. I'm also really interested to see who the mother of Dean's children is. I hope they're still together because I seriously can't see anyone oin their right mind leaving him. Dean deserves a lasting relationship :D :D Loved the story |
