Bumblebee, that was cruel. The lid hitting Prowl was pretty funny!

How did the melting metal not burn Prowl?

It would be so cruel of Megatron if he sent OilSlick as Barricade's escort.

Hehe that was a nice touch, having some random teenager find Prowl's motorcycle and take it for a spin. Perhaps it was a bit idiotic though, since it obviously had an Autobot symbol on it. Although maybe the poor kid just didn't notice it at first. XD

I wonder what exactly Megatron is going to do to humiliate Sumdac, although I definitely have a couple of guesses. It'll be interesting to see what happens if Barricade goes to Earth. I sure hope that poor guy can "redeem" himself somehow, just so he stops being an empty. Let me guess, Slipstream is gonna go with him?

Poor Sumdac, first the threats from Megatron, then he finds out his daughter somehow wound up on Cybertron. Poor guy, this just isn't his day.

I liked the parts with Sari and Prowl, hehe. I totally thought that glass was gonna break when she sent the jar over the edge. But having it fall and then having her knock off the cap into Prowl was funny. XD

Prowl's powers are certainly interesting, mainly with the heating thing. I wonder if he has some sort of coolant inside him, or something, that prevents his organic tissues from being harmed when he does that? Unless somehow the organic tissues are tough enough to take it.

Say maybe you could put an interesting twist in there. Maybe somehow, Prowl is fast-healing. That could maybe explain how his broken leg got better and it could cause his nose to heal, if there's anything seriously wrong with it.

I wonder if Prowl and Sari will also get a better change to explore the mental link they shared before? That could be interesting. XD

BTW, what is the piece of metal that Bumblebee found at the scene where Lockdown captured Prowl and Sari? I'd like to know XD

Anyway I guess that's all. Oh yeah, I did notice a few typos but not too many. Anyway looking forward to the next chapter. :D

Hmm...how long will it be before Prowl spills the beans that he has no idea where he is to Sari?

I really enjoyed this chapter. I also think that the mental link that has developed between Sari and Prowl is very clever. I am curious to see just how far that ability can go. Can they still block out each other's thoughts? Or is the link kinda permenant, so that they can read each other's thoughts no matter what? Also it might be interesting if they can share actual memories now, or even just stray thoughts. Like, if Sari sees something in Prowl's mind from his old training days under Yoketron, and if Prowl sees something from Sari's childhood memories. Perhaps he could even see the memory of what Sari felt/experienced during her upgrade. He might find that rather fascinating, at least after they escape and after things have settled down a bit, of course.

Hey, it might also be interesting if maybe at some point, Prowl remembers something... what if maybe he had a slight crush on Nightbird once, way back when, or whatever? Or better yet... maybe Nightbird once expressed interest in him but it never went anywhere, and he never returned the feelings. Either way, if you used that idea, it might either A: give Sari reason to be jealous, or B: make her analyse her own feelings for Prowl a little more.

It's so funny to imagine Sari trapped inside a glass tube. You must draw a picture of that sometime, if you haven't already XD I honestly can't remember, heh.

Better yet, a picture of Perceptor holding a tiny saw above Techno-organic Prowl would be awesome, too. Honestly that thought scared me a little when I first read it. You're really good XD

Obviously something is definitely going on in the higher-ups. So, is Perceptor acting on his own, or does Ultra Magnus approve of him working on the techno-organics? I'm gonna hope that Perceptor is acting totally on his own.

I am curious though what's going on with Jazz and Ultra Magnus, though I'm gonna assume that it has something to do with Megatron. Does Jazz know something, or is he under suspicion or something? Or is he on a secret mission? Or maybe Jazz is gonna be the one to spring Prowl and Sari? XD I'm making wild guesses, I know. But it's fun XD

The unique twist with Barricade was a nice touch. That could make an interesting plot point later on, those maps he has in his processor. Either he can remember them and then maybe at least start to prove his usefullness to Megatron by providing them, or maybe he can regain some of his Autobot honor by refusing to do anything with them. Who knows, maybe the bots back home might look upon him more favorably if he doesn't hand them over... though probably not too much.

Hehe some of the intrigue in this story is beginning to remind me slightly of Endgame Alternative. XD I like all the intrigue.

So I presume Megatron is gonna go in and make all the machines in Sumdac Systems go berserk? That should be interesting. Man, there is trouble everywhere, definitely.

And the continuing banter between Oil Slick and Barricade is entertaining as always. Oil Slick is awesome XD

Man ya gotta love Star Wars huh? And for the glasses I have to say have an extra one Prowl didn't know he had somewhere on him or have him blind till he and Sari can get out of there.

OMG. Perceptor! So that's who wanted Prowl and Sari, though I think I may have guessed that already anyway... I can't exactly remember. Anyway it's interesting that Optimus's hunch proved to be correct about Perceptor's odd questions. Don't tell me he's gonna experiment on poor Prowl and Sari. That would suck, although it might be interesting too.

Oh gee, perhaps this might be an excellent excuse to make Shadowstar appear, at least for a cameo if nothing else? I just think that that could be cool. XD Up to you, though. It just might be interesting, especially if you don't plan to make a sequel to Vertigo.

Lots of stuff going on in this chapter. I noticed a few typos, but not too many.

I thought it was interesting the way you had Megatron thinking about ruining Sumdac by possibly spilling the beans about where Sumdac really got his technology from. I know that Megatron seems to have decided not to use that tactic, but I found it interesting because that's something that Megatron has never even thought of doing before. Although of course he's never had any reason to think about that, either.

Hehe I kinda like Lockdown's insightfulness. Knowing that Prowl has deeper feelings for Sari than Prowl is willing to admit, even to himself. It also makes me wonder slightly what kinds of relationships Lockdown may have had XD

Poor Prowl, being all alone without his glasses, and his mind-over-matter technique doesn't work anymore. Maybe the poor guy will have to relearn it somehow or other.

As for ideas, hmm. Well, bringing Shadowstar in for a cameo, at least, could be interesting. I mean, since Perceptor has worked on her, that might be an interesting angle to work with, now that Perceptor wants to work on--or at least look at--Sari and Prowl. And maybe Shadowstar could go through the whole "I can't believe that that's actually you" or "What the heck happened to you?" thing if she sees Prowl. I dunno, I'm just a sucker for those types of situations XD

Barricade was very interesting in this chapter. I liked the way he seemed somewhat crazed to Megatron, and the way he hurt Starscream in the effort of getting the allspark fragment out of his spark chamber. I also enjoyed how Barricade was, in the end, smarter than Starscream. He totally refused to fall for the stasis cuff trick. Though that trick is getting kinda old by now within the Elite Guard anyway, I can imagine.

Hm I guess that's about all I have to say about the chapter. As for ideas... I don't really have anything else. I can't wait to see what happens next.
