This is gorgeous. It's just so like Jim to drown himself in alcohol when he has a problem with his emotions. I really like how you wrote Bones, I think you captured his voice quite well, as well as his personality. His concern for Jim, his exasperated tone - it was wonderful.

But my favorite character was Spock. The way you conveyed his concern for Jim in that quiet, awkward and unspoken way of his was really beautiful. I liked the flow of conversation, and how Jim took the plunge eventually and kissed him. I also really enjoyed the end dialogue, and I couldn't stop laughing when you made Spock say: "And if you regret this in the morning, I’ll take no responsibility in the matter."

One of the best oneshots I've read. Fantastic work.
