And well... I've got a possible idea that you could use, but only if you've ever watched/read the anime/manga 'Vampire Knight'. The idea would be that the Dark Ace is a pureblood vampire, and unless Piper can create the crystal-thing that will turn Aerrow into a 'guardian vampire' (aka, a vampire knight. haha, get it? a vampire sky knight), he will turn into a 'Level E' vampire.

(A 'Level E' vampire is a vampire that has no memory of who he/she is and will attack absolutely anyone. They cannot tell friend from foe, and cannot be reached by normal humans or half-blood vampires. They will not attack fellow comarades under orders from the pureblood, or else, otherwise will. They can be controlled and manipulated by pureblood vampires, and have eyes the colour of blood and long fangs protruding from the mouth.)

So... it's only a suggestion, but I hope you like the idea nevertheless. If you want additional info, don't be afraid to message me and or you can just watch the 'Vampire Knight' series. Moreso the first season than the second, cause the first has more vampire 'info', you could call it. For example, humans bitten only by PUREBLOODS will turn into vampires themselves, but I suppose you could twist this part to be slightly more Twilight-oriented too.
