2009-11-02 . chapter 20
Hello. Picked up your story on The Domain's Review Tag game. Figured I'd give it a whirl. I did as you asked and strictly reviewed Chapter 19, so forgive me if I forget and say I don't know what's going on at some point during my review. XD

First, I don't know what's up, but it's more correct to use " than ' to delineate speech. I'd recommend you change that.

I noticed several spelling errors, like "spoilt" which should be spoiled; "anserine" which I can only assume must be asinine; "pretence" which should be pretense, and that ilk. Do you have someone looking over your work? If not, I'd recommend getting a beta reader. You also had a fair few grammatical errors like missed commas (that's what I saw the most) and some missing dialouge tags.

Also, spells should be capitalized and italicized every time; they're proper nouns, first, and that's how they're treated in the canon, second.

Now, on to the characters. For whatever reason, Harry is entirely too comfortable around Snape. I'm not going to pretend to know what's going on, but I hope there's been some backstory that has changed his character. Snape I found was actually quite good, excepting several instances where his silky disdain was...lacking. But really, Snape was very well. I enjoyed it.

You also had an enjoyable twist at the end, but like I said earlier, Draco's also missing that single snub that's characteristic of him. I can only assume that he's grown into this character from your earlier chapters. But, not bad.

Fix those points and you'll be gravy. Good luck, and keep it up! It seems to be a rather popular story.

Disapointed with Snape? Not at all! SO in chracter for him and you can see he's being fair, even if Harry can't. Loved it when Snape realised he hadn't apologised for the broom thing. Can't wait for the conversation with Draco, should be funny! *sighs* Harry is such a prat, going to give up like that. *mutters about stupid Gryffindors* I, of course, would have been a Hufflepuff ;) And not thinking Snape would be fair, how long has he known him? Ah well, his apology should be funny. Loved that Draco apologised nicely! Yay! Can't wait for more! As incredible as always!

Thanks so much for your speedy update. It was killing me not knowing what was going on. I still wonder what was going on in Severus' head and now, thanks to you, we'll know what he said to Draco. I was totally surprised that Draco wasn't playing...so maybe the snowball in hell is melting! What did he say to Draco to keep Draco from his infamous sneer even when they're alone? Will Severus ever simply call Harry by his first name or will there always be enough distance to allow him to revert to calling the boy Potter?
Wow, Severus took some abuse from Harry...but I love how he wouldn't let him leave Severus' quarters.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

ah, what a chapter indeed! as the saying goes; the plot thickens! ireland seems to be playing a bigger part in this than originally thought - i like that, being an irelander myself, but that's highly irrelevant - and i like the way you're intergrating all the puzzle pieces together throughout the story... me wants more! :D x

Good story but Harry is such a self involved brat, really. I like the story though :) it's good, though Harry trying to become an animagus on his own is very stupid and rather arrogant of him, plus though I'm not sure if he'd care or if it matteras but I'm pretty sure it'd be illegal, not that it really matters, Harry is being a git though.

Thank you so much for the update! I was so entranced by the fight at the end that my hands were sweating with the tension:) It'd be really evil if you didn't tell us what happens soon!
As for Severus taking Harry's side, I'd like to say there isn't a snowball's chance in hell but maybe there is since Lysander saw what happened...Harry did use remarkable restraint throughout most of it;)

Go Harry! Glad he managed to get at least a few hits in before the Slytherin's turned, go Lysander as well, that was brilliant. Ugh, I have started to read loads of stories that show Draco in a positive light, so I have to feel a little sorry for him, but still! Moron!! Jealous, annoying...ahh! Loved the thing when Snape wound Moody up, it made me laugh so hard. *sighs* Harry's such a Gryffindor sometimes, attacking Draco like that in the Slytherin Common Room. Can't wait for the next chapter! Fingers crossed Snape will take Harry's side if he's told the story properly, and I reckon he will. Not sure what Harry's response will be to Snape taking his side on something about Sirius though. Should be great! Hope to see an update soon, loving it as always! Brilliant!!

This was a really good chapter. Harry revealing himself and telling the truth about why he was there in the first place astonished and pleased me. I think that speaks volumes about the trust that is growing between himself and Snape.
