I loved seeing something written about Oregon, being as that is my home state, I've always had a soft spot for it. I think you got all the character traits right, and pointed out all the things that needed to be noticed (like the bohemianness[not sure I spelled that right] and the marijuana issue [freaking humboldt lol]), and the name thing? Yeah! People say it wrong all the time and I just think to myself, "really? It's not that hard." I also love how you included Arthur with the Shakespeare festival. ANYway, I'm gonna put this on alert and keep my eye out for any updates
OMG! I TOTALLY GET THAT! Y'Know, even some Oregon's Name wrong, I'm glad someone's taking a stand about it! I even heard a news anchor say the 'willamette valley' wrong! And they even live in the willamette valley! THANK YOU FOR SETTING THIS STRAIGHT! MAYBE SOMEONE WILL GET 'OREGON' RIGHT NOW!
OHH YEAH! Um... Don't take this the wrong way, or anything, cuz I really like your stories, but you may want to check and make sure you're using the right form of a word such as 'than' rather than 'then'.
And don't forget Wisconsin or Michigan and 'Areegan'
Aw, this was so cute! I like to read about Alfred having fun with his states/kids. Re: Oregon's characterization, unfortunately I know so little about Oregon that I can't speak to that, but as a person, Beverly seems very fun and interesting, and I think you've got very good "father"/"daughter" interaction going between her and Alfred. Nice job! If you plan to do any more states, I'd look forward to reading them. :)
