Twinchy 2009-07-17 . chapter 1The drabble itself was very powerfully written and offered a marvelous final line. *big grin*
And I'm really happy you continued the story for a bit until Sam and Dean were free again at last. The conversation between Don and the older Winchester never lost its appeal throughout, and I suspected right away that Sam hadn't really taken Charlie as a hostage.
Also very nice was the scene with the FBI agent and Dean dropping the gun practically at the same time, thus neither had to worry about the other maybe suddenly 'changing their mind'.
Another great point about the whole story (and reasonable considering their background) was that the brothers Winchester easily took control of the situation without breaking a sweat.
I can see why Dean was amicably chiding Don for suggesting to blame Dean with "kidnapping and armed assault" when earlier on he stated that the older brother's charges' file was already too long to read out completely then and there. Poor boys.
Did I already mention your title was awesome, sweetysmart? |
 jazmingirl 2009-07-16 . chapter 1I love it |
Enkidu07 2009-06-23 . chapter 1Great medium for a cross over! Very believable! And I love Numb3rs so that is a bonus too! Great job! |
mssammydean 2009-06-23 . chapter 1Loved it! Who wouldn't want to read until the end? ;) The brothers were great.
Although, even if you had stopped at the top, it still would've been excellent! |
Nana56 2009-06-22 . chapter 1I really liked it. I'm not fond of crossovers, but this was really good. Nicely done and well-worked. |
sunnyjunedays 2009-06-22 . chapter 1Hi, Surprisingly i liked them both. I don't mean that to sound like an insult to your writing, i love reading your stories, i hope you know that. I was thinking more that because i have never watched numbers that i wouldn't understand or enjoy these but i did and i'm thinking that maybe i ought to give this show a chance, see what i think because the similarities between the characters is quite striking, or is that just the way you've written them to be? guess i really do need to check it out. Although Supernatural will always be my no. 1.
Thanks for these, hugely enjoyable.
I'm going to stop rambling now. x |
1983Sarah 2009-06-22 . chapter 1I loved it all! I wanted to go the longer route with mine but thought better of it...you've inspired me with such a great crossover story to maybe add to my own. Bravo, well done and great use of the parallels between the shows. I watch Numb3rs and even I didn't think about it until now! |
 LivingForTv 2009-06-22 . chapter 1"A number he didn't know."
"his gun slightly pointed at Don's leg with one finger over Don's on the trigger."
""Probably. Things like that seem to happen when I'm in this situation.""
""I know my brother wants me back"
"To Don, that sentence said, 'I have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm trusting my brother."
"And suddenly, Dean's voice sounded like the most trustworthy thing in the world, like a spell came over Don."
"With a look at Dean, Don saw something he hadn't seen yet. A brother... just like him. And, against his training, he let go of the gun. As did Dean, and the gun clattered to the floor."
I have chosen a few highlights up there. And after your story I really have to start watching Numb3rs again. Supernatural is the ONLY series I am following and that on dvd. Boy, I sure don't earn my pen name! Anyway, this was great! I LOVE it! And you are so correct, these two teams are very much alike! |
