Aw! I loved that! The other girls wanting to hear more and Polly being lost within her own, lived fairy tale and speaking of the sunrise with such a light in her eyes were my favorite parts. XD Although, I guess that's pretty much all of it, huh? lol. As always, rock on! ^U^ *U*

This was awesome, all the same! I loved how Rilian was thrust into suffocating darkness, and at the end, the blackness melts away into Aslan's name. ^_^

Ooh, a very haunting and beautiful image. One of the great advantages of brief chapters like these is that you can convey an unusual idea without weighing it down with development and context and suchlike. Its very brevity gives it forcefulness, as with a poem.

Yes, this is my favorite chapter also. It came as a shock to me as well the first time (some years ago) that I realized that Eustace hadn't set foot in Narnia until Silver Chair. Moreover, for whatever reason, Lewis placed no Talking Animals except for Reep on the Dawn Treader, and no Fauns, Dwarfs, or Centaurs either. So all of that was new to Eustace when he re-entered that world in Silver Chair. I love the way he reacts here to the first view of Cair Paravel, and I especially love the way you show him thinking about his cousins. And you said it all in fewer words than I have used in this review!

I forgot to ask-- would it be all right if I used this as a prompt for one of my stories? This particular chapter really struck me, and though I've never read the book, I'd love to see where this takes my imagination! I'll definitely give you credit!

Oh, and because I've never read the book, I was wondering if you wouldn't mind rewriting the passage from the book and sending it to me through PM? I know that's a lot to ask, bu I'm really excited about this! Thanks!

Aw! I love all of these, especially the one with Eustace-- it's so beautiful that he finally sees what his cousins have all along, even if not to the extent (they lived there for fifteen years and several months, and he wasn't there NEARLY as long, if you catch my drift).

These are so good! And they're short, fast to read, but no less deep for their brevity.

I think my favorite so far has been the one about Caspian. It's so sad, so tragic as he feels the despair of the death of his queen (RD, NOT Susan, as you so delightfully pointed out). But the one about Peter and Susan was good too. I like how all these little drabbles are melencholy with just a touch of sunlight. As the title says, it's a waning light as sorrow begins to creep in.

Aww, sad! I've always felt terrible for Caspian, loosing his wife so young. And then loosing his son not a few days later, not to see him again until the day he dies. Very tragic.

But can I say I'm happy that he's mourning over RD not Susan? Because I am.

I'm liking this drabblefic, very well done. The connections really work well.

I'm really enjoying these so far! Who knew that you could tell so much about a person or a place from a sunset?

I can see that these are going to be very (bad pun coming!) atmospheric. Lovely feeling that you evoke in these small chapters. I was wondering what you'd write about in Chapter 2. Shasta is a perfect choice, because he's another "before." Keep this going! It's a great way of showing different aspects of the Narnian chronicles.

This is quite powerful, in the way it describes the terribleness of the war and how it effects the Pevensies. The last sentence about the sun particularly stands out. It almost seems a bit hopeless, like the war itself.
