Oh yeah! Nice twist! Excellent timing of that phaser blast, too. Very dramatic. Poor Bones seeing Spock fall like that! And the talk with Jim was very well handled. Sweet and deep, just the way I like it. Can't wait for more. The story is really coming together nicely. Great Job!

I got so excited when I saw you'd updated this story :) and you didn't disappoint.
As for whumpage...for me... loads and loads, they're my favourite type of story and there aren't enough good ones around.

excellent chapter too by the way, its nice to see that the alternate reality version is getting into the action too, just wonder how mccoy prime is gonna handle hearing the news..

I began reading this story tentatively, unsure what I thought about it. By this chapter, however, I was hooked completely, and the reunion between Spock Prime and Mccoy really affected me. I was so pleased to see the trust that Mccoy demonstrated for his old friend (it is endlessly facinating to compare the long history of the older companions from the original series to the fledgling dynamics of the newer ones), and the mind meld was a culmination point in the plot that was perfectly timed and I was well ready for; very satisfying.

I'll be watching this story with great anticipation. Please know that you have readers that appreciate your work.

Oh! I loved this chapter! I like how your using "Bones" for the Star Trek 2009: McCoy, and "Dr. McCoy" for the original one. It makes it a lot less confusing. And Hahaha! I laughed so hard when McCoy stole Bones' booze. XD He would SO do that. And I think the reason he was startled by Christine was because apparently, she bosses him around in EVERY universe! Ha! And I loved the mentions of the events of the original series too. Bringing up the "Intrepid" was a very nice touch. I was really hoping you'd bring that up. It had a lot of impact. And Bones and Spock wondering how their older versions became such good friends was SO sweet too. Hehehee...I can see Spock asking the two at some point. And then Spock Prime going on about paradox, but then McCoy says: "I'll only say this, it usually involved pulling Jim's butt out of the fire." And Jim being like "Hey!" And Spock Prime adding: "Repeatedly." Hehehe! Anyway, can't wait to see where this goes. As always, I look forward to more. Excellent job once again.
