Nice. It was an interesting look into what a Precursor might be and a good, appropriately vague job of personifying one. I liked it.

I saw the National Accelerator Lab reference, if that was what you intended. I also saw the Gravemind reference there towards the beginning as well.

Actually, this one-shot made me think deeper into the lore of the FRs and PCs and how they all come together in relation to warring with the Flood, though maybe the PCs never directly tended to the Flood as the FRs did. Nevertheless, I like the way you portray the "separation" of the Precursors as existing on another plane, and not simply dead or far, far away. Good stuff.
