'A one on one match was not anything new to father or son. They had competed against each other before. At least, Tidus saw it that way. When Jecht had his wife’s attention, Tidus would whine to get her away from his father. Blitzball was just another version of their constant battle.' - Beautifully worded, and so damn true!

'The warriors’ eyes glistened in the heat of battle, small smiles were shared and then they broke apart.' - Much love for this.

I really loved this introductory chapter, despite its shortness, but this really made it work: 'After all these years, he still couldn’t pick the right words to say.' :3!

you have no idea how funny I found this. Especially the "squawking" ... I can definitely hear Tidus doing that.

And I love Auron's matter-of-factedness and Jecht's over-the-topedness.
