lcf328 2009-11-25 . chapter 1I think you should continue. I'm not a CJ/Josh shipper, but I found this story start interesting when you first posted it. I can see Josh getting angry like he did in this chapter, but I can't see him not forgiving CJ once he'd cooled down.
I like some of the other reviewers' ideas about Josh confronting Hoynes. Maybe you could focus on Josh's (undoubtedly complicated) feelings about Hoynes...guilt over leaving his campaign, frustration that Hoynes isn't the man and candidate Josh once thought he could have been, anger over CJ (obviously), and he might also be wondering exactly how many sex scandals this man has lurking in his closet, anyway, and how could he have run for President knowing those things could come out and sink him at any moment? (As a real-life parallel, I understand many of John Edwards' campaign staff felt quite betrayed when he admitted to his affair...he'd told them it wasn't true, and they'd believed him, and he'd tried to get the nomination knowing he could have handed the Republicans the Presidency if he had.)
Anyway, I hope you do continue! |
sassie69 2009-11-25 . chapter 2This has to have a happy ending. Only stupid people would break up over sex with another before they got together. Perhaps he can go and blow off steam, in a Josh way, confront Hoynes even. My first thought at the title me too was Josh was going to say he had slept with Hoynes too! |
